Red rock

Today we had our monthly play date with the Dugans and the Mazlos. We all headed up to Red Rock for a nice picnic and a "little" hike for the kids.

We got there and realized the visitors center was closed and it had been moved to a trailer in the parking lot. We headed over and the kids got junior ranger books and saw some really gross bugs and lizards.
Then we headed over to the Picnic area and the hike. We all had a nice lunch and headed off to find the hike well after I read the map wrong and we had to hike to another parking lot we finally found the "easy" nature kids discovery hike.

Amanda and I had worn flip flops because we had said we are not hiking and this was supposed to be easy, ahahahha. We got to our first marker on the trail and we let the kids climb this huge rock and we were like a great picture then Bryn rolled all the way down and landed with a big thud. Adventure number one.
We keep on going and found the next couple markers and learned some really interesting things. All of the sudden we were like rock climbing and I heard Em breathing heavy and I turn around and she is carrying both babies. What a SUPERMOM that one is.

We found all of the markers, our favorite was the pine tree that smelled like butterscoth and the spring after that we all found the parking lot and headed home!!!!!!! It was a really fun time and so nice to get together and enjoy nice weather and some fun!!!

The Toymakers Grand Idea....

Aubrie had a school play tonight in which she was a Barbie Doll. The tryouts were right before last track break, when she came back to school she was thrown into practices and learning songs. I was not the biggest fan of how it was being handled but Aubrie really wanted to be in so I just let her keep going.
On Tuesday they had their first show and it was interesting it started 45 minutes late and it ran way over the time limit. So I was a little worried about the performance tonight but it went on without a hitch.
The kids were funny you could barely hear them but some of them tried really hard to be loud. Aubrie sang her two parts well and was so cute she saw her Uncle Robb, Dad, Aunt Valerie and Gramma and could not help but wave at them from stage in the middle of her song. She sang a redone version of Barbie Girl, it was funny the loudest part every time was " come on barbie lets go party". It was a cute play and I am glad that Aubrie enjoyed it. She was thrilled that her family was there and so excited to tell all of us all about it.
After the play we took the kids to Golden Spoon for a treat ( thanks to Aunt Valerie and Gramma). The kids picked their ice cream and we headed outside to eat because Aunt Valerie was cold. We were all impressed because Brian ate all of his ice cream which is a rarity for him.
After Ice cream Aubrie headed over to Grammas to spend the night. And we had to make promises to Brian that he could spend the night at Aunt Valerie's.

Kindergarten no way...

Oh my gosh today I had to register my baby for Kindergarten. He was so excited he got up early and was ready to go before the rest of us. We headed over to the school, we filled out his paperwork. He got so excited because he saw a friend for Church that was there to register there too.
After I signed all the papers we headed over to Costco for a celebration lunch of pizza and churros.
Brian is my shopping buddy I can not believe that he is going to be in school this year. I will have to do my errands by myself, I have not had to that for 9 years. I am going to really miss my baby during the day, he was always pretty much willing to go to run errands as long as I pass through the Hot wheels aisle.
I am so excited for this new adventure in his life before I know it I will have a middle school kid and a 2ND grader oh they grow so fast. It really seems like just yesterday we were bringing them home from the hospital.

Fun with Donna and the Girls

Today Donna and her girls came into town for a Mexican food fiesta for lunch. We all went even Dane and ate so much we were full for the rest of the day. After lunch Dane took all the kids back to our house while me and Donna went to do some shopping. We hit up Sams Club and Walmart, and we carried on our new tradition of ICEE's for a treat!!!
I really had fun with Donna and again Ashley had me rolling with her sense of humor. I do not think that the Chip boy thought so but I did.
I surprisingly did not take any pictures but Ashley had her dad take some really cool ones in Christopher Creek and I just got them off her camera.

Church for us and Riding for them....

Today the boys got up early and headed out to have a day of riding, they were headed out to meet Jon in Pah rump for an awesome ride. I got up and made sandwiches and packed a lunch warned Dane that he had better not do anything stupid, and went inside to veg out until it was time to go to Church.
My Mom and sister came and picked us up and we headed over to Matthew's Farewell. He was there greeting and hugging all of us as we came in. His family and friends pack the chapel and he gave an excellent talk. He was wearing my brothers name tag on his inside jacket pocket and referred it to in his talk. He is going to wear it to honor my brother on his mission. This means so much to my mom and sister and I and of course brought us to tears.

After church we headed over to my mom's for lunch and naps!!! The kids went outside and helped my mom pick two red tomatoes from her garden which was so exciting for them.

After a lazy afternoon we headed over to Matthews for a last goodbye and family gathering.
Aunt Stephanie had prepared lots yummy food for all of us. We all hung out for a while and the kids had a really good time playing with Kyle and Estee in the backyard. Of course we all took pictures before we left.
Good luck Matt we love you and are so proud of you!!!!!

Farewell to Matthew...

Matthew has chosen to go on a Mission something that is bittersweet to me. I am so proud of him and the life that he has led that has allowed him to go on this and just that he has chosen to this says a lot about his character at 19. I just find it hard to let people leave, especially ones that are so close to me and my kids.
With that said today my Aunt and Uncle threw a fantastic party in Matt's honor. They had enough food for 100 people and it was all so good. The fruit and the ribs were my favorite!!! Les and Pam know how to throw a party to remember!!!
All of the Stucki cousins were there and so were Matt's other side cousins. There was a lot of kids and when we got there, there was only standing room in the pool. It was crazy how many people could fit in that pool and spa. I enjoyed the company and the rest of the Robinette's enjoyed the pool. The kids were in the pool the second we got in and did get out until my Mom was ready to go. All in all about 6 hours total of non stop swimming I think the only time they got out was to graze on the food.
We all watched a video of pictures that Stephanie had put together and we all sat around remembering the crazy little kid who was Matthew. Then we looked through the pictures of their Family trip they took last summer and heard and saw how much fun they had.
Dane had to leave a little early because we were also having fight night. So he had to get home to get that ready.
I left a couple of hours after him and came home to my friends all watching the fights and having some more yummy food. Em brought a really good dip and Lisa as always out did herself with Deviled eggs (Aubrie's request), pasta salad and Ricks bean dip, Dawn brought my favorite wings and a veggie platter. We all sat around the table and munched and talked. It was a great way to end a long day.

Lowe's Build and Grow

Rhonda and her Mom have been taking her kids to this free building workshop for kids for a while and I finally got on the ball and signed the kids up.
Today was a crazy day because we had Matthew's farewell party and fight night also but I thought that this would be fun. We got there and the kids were kinda of excited but did not know what to expect. We signed in and they got an apron and a pair of safety goggles and their project kit. We headed over to start work, it was really fun watching them use the mini hammers and little nails. Aubrie finished hers without any help and I had to help Brian disassemble his because I connected the front and back backwards. After we finished fixing Brian's we went to the desk so the kids could get there certificates and their patches for their aprons.
It is something that they both are excited to again and we have signed up for the next one!! A surprise for dad for Fathers Day!!!

It is so HOTT!!!!

This hosing started with an innocent splash of water in the garage and ended with me having soaking wet kids and a new load of wet clothes to wash.
Dane had just gotten home form work and Brian was on him to play outside. Dane said yes and then Dane started showering Brian and Me with cold water from his lunch box. Well then he got Brian to call Aubrie outside and he surprise attacked her. Then it was oh dad dump the whole lunch box on us it is so HOTT. So he did then it was not enough so he got the hose and started spraying, I was the only smart one and ran inside to get to the camera knowing that Dane would not squirt me as long as I had that in my hand. It lasted a good half an hour then the kids were starving and we had to make dinner.

Good grades will get ya....

Last semester at Aubrie's award ceremony she received an award for her and five friends to go to the Mini Grand Prix. She was given this award for her outstanding achievements!!! She was so excited but it took her mom a long time to book the party. She knew who she wanted to invite the second I asked her. Kaitlyn , Amber, Andrew, Evan and Brian were the lucky ones.
We all got there and the kids got there wrist bands and they were off to the races!!! The dads took all the kids outside and it was all about riding as much as possible in the next hour and a half. The dads had just as much fun as the kids especially since they had to drive the shorter kids in the big race cars. The only kid who is tall enough to drive by herself is Aubrie, because she definitely got her dads height!!! They squeezed every last drop of ride out of the ride time and then we all came in to have pizza and the best orange soda ever!!!
Aubrie, dad and I are so proud of you and your grades and all you do in school!!! Keep up the good work and it will pay off in the end. We love you and are so glad that you love school and do a great job everyday!!!!!

Training wheels who needs them????

Brian has been asking and asking to have his stinking training wheels off for a while now and I think that Mom had a hard time, so while I was inside the boys took them off. Brian came running inside have to get my shoes on, have to get my shoes on!!! Then he ran right back outside as fast as he had come in!!
Dane stuck his head inside and said Come and see this. I walked out the door and there is Brian with no training wheels. I think that my baby is growing way too fast he has no training wheels on anything anymore. He rode his dirt bike up and down the street and practiced his turns and was loving every minute of it. I think that his dad was enjoying it almost as much as him. The proud papa kept saying That is my boy that is my boy!!!!
When he was done he got off the bike and informed me that he" was a big boy now and did not need those training wheels" with his best Dane attitude if I do say so myself.

Swimming with Dad and Robb.

After a nice day of napping and playing the Wii, Robb, Dane and the kids went over to Robb's apartment to enjoy the pool. I stayed behind to clean the house, or at least that was the plan but then I started to watch 90120 and fell asleep for another nap.
I went over to pick them up and they were still in the pool. Aubrie had made a friend and they were doing cheers and jumping in to the pool. Robb and Dane were working on their tans. They kids were excited to show me how they could jump in. They kept doing it over and over again. We finally pulled them out and put them in the car, they both passed out on the way home.
We got a movie and ate a yummy dinner and called it a night early. Another busy weekend has come and gone and another one is coming up so much for relaxing....
