Logans Birthday party!!

Another birthday party for Brian! He was thrilled that he had a busy weekend since it is usually Aubrie who has the plans!
This one was a Nerf party! I dropped him off and when I picked him up he said that he had a good time but it was a little dramatic for him. That is something that Aubrie would say so I asked him why, with a straight face he looked at me and said
" well the birthday boy was crying because no one was playing right except me and Logan, and some boys do not know how to act when their moms are not around."
I think that I must have had a funny look on my face and he said "no really mom you would have spanked my butt if I acted like some of  those boys".
Good to know that he knows how to act. And just to make sure I called Carol and asked her how Brian was, she replied that he was so polite and has the best manners! Good at least he has them some where!! Nice to know that he knows how to act when his mom is not around!!
Brian has really made some good friends on this team, most of them he was on his first baseball team (the Mudhens) with and they have stayed in contact thanks to us moms!!! Guess that this year at his party he will have a few new faces!!!

Yankees VS the Dodgers

This morning we had a lazy morning with some errands and a little bit of cleaning. I was kinda dreading the game that we were playing but hoping that it would be a better one for the Yankees.
Dane got Brian to the field one hour before the game and we were there shortly after. Oh I have forgotten to blog about how much Aubrie hates that I am the score keeper since this has made her the pitch counter, she finally got to pawn it off today to Kiana who thought it would be fun. Aubrie was thrilled and got to play with Harlo who she loves(one of the little sisters of a player on the team). She says that I am not allowed to ever ever ever score keep again!!
We were playing the Dodgers who we have beaten every time we have played them. It was a close game and then we started to have a rally that helped us secure a win!!! Brian scored a run since he is so fast and steals the bases before the other team knows that he is stealing!! So glad that the boys had a good game today!! Made for a nice evening at home!

Conner's Birthday party!

Tonight Brian had a birthday party for a boy on his baseball team that he has know for a couple of years. He was super excited because it was at the Laser tag place that he has not been to in a really long time! We dropped him off and Aubrie and I went to have some dinner together! It was just a quick minute it seemed like before we had to go and get him! He had a great time and is thinking that maybe this is where he wants to have his party this year! Which would be a change for him since we have had his party at Mini Grand Prix for the last 5 years. I really think he will change his mind but it is up to him!!!

A great idea

The girls and I decided that we
should head to Town Square today and have
lunch for my birthday!
Since I have never been there
I thought it would be fun!
We got there and it was empty! We
hit some stores and enjoy some
YUMMY popcorn and had a great
lunch!
It was a fun time and we hope to do
it again but with life as crazy
as it is we might be doing it again
next year!
So Lisa gave me this card and I thought
it was so cute!
Gift cards to many places with a cute note next
to each of them.
I am going to steal this
idea for teacher gifts!
And that is the end of my birthday celebrations!

Yankees VS the Philles

Oh man
what a lousy game
the Yankees had tonight!!
We played the undefeated Phillies
who look like a bunch of 12 year olds.
It was a bad night and it just kept
getting worse and worse as the game went on!!
Brian who we can always count on was not
in the grove at all. He
struck out twice when he was up to
bat and then the coach
put him in to pitch and he
could not throw a strike to save his life.
The coach should have pulled him
but he was not even paying attention
he was too busy complaining about the
score. Brian was drowning and he
wanted to get off the mound so
bad.
We lost this game 15-9. Hopefully next game
will be a better one. And having a coach and
a player on a losing team does not equal for
a good night after the game....

Yankees VS Red Sox

Coach Dane and Coach Joe getting  ready

Well back to score keeping for me again so this is the only picture I was able to snap.
It was an exciting game that we should have won but some lessons have to be learned the hard way!
Brian was on second and got a hit tonight which he has wanted for a while since he is usually walked. He was first batter again and of course stole some runs!!
Blue was interesting tonight and the parents were all tensed because of it.
Craig, Mark and Tondra all came out to watch the game! Which was nice for Brian since he was a little bummed that Grandma was not there! We lost this one but we will be back next game!!

Date night with Magnum PI

Magnum PI
Uswirl
Tonight while Aubrie was at her first dance, Brian and I were trying to decide what we should eat for dinner! He was all over some McDonalds but I was not in the mood, so I called Dane to see if he was hungry and he said we should meet him at Cuginos for some pizza. That sounded much better so we got ready and went over. We got there just as Dave and Dane were getting there. We ordered our pizza and watched some sports highlights! We polished of the pizza in no time and then Brian asked if we could go to U- swirl which is his favorite but since it is not mine we hardly ever go there. I told him yes and we walked over he got the weirdest combo of mint, strawberry and chocolate. Then he topped it with brownies and caramel sauce. YUCK but he was all over it.
It turned out to be a fun night and before we knew it, it was time to go and get Aubrie from school.

First Dance

That is right
Aubrie had her first ever dance tonight.
Oh my gosh am I really old enough to have
a kid going to dances??
So it was not a dress up dance
it was just a "welcome back" dance
she wore her pismo beach shirt and
some cute capris. Since it was
a beach theme.
She told Dane and I that she had to go
and work it for a grade for
Leadership.
Well she only had to work half an hour but
we were not going to say no.
She was so excited and was talking
about it all week.
Dane told her that if any boy tried to
dance with her she should run.
I am sure he seems to forget
that he was once those boys and they
were not asking anyone to dance at that age.

We picked her up at 830 and she talked the
whole way home about how much fun she had
and how she can not wait for the next one
which is like next month.
WOW
she is so happy that she chose Leadership and
that she goes to Caneralli with
Grandma. It was the right chose and
we are reminded of that everyday
when she goes on and on and on
about school.
I am not complaining I am glad that
both of my kids love school and get good grades.
They must get that from their
mother!!!!

Fury Banner

the fury cheer leaders where on decorating duty tonight! At practice the girls were doing cheers and painting the banner for the first game which is right around the corner!
I was surprised when Aubrie wanted to do cheer again but this season they are doing a performance at opportunity village and they are even competing, so Aubrie was excited plus she really wants a plaque so I guess she is going to get on this time!

A little more birthday for me!!

Balloons from mom!
While I was helping Jennie with the line ups my mom attached these to my chair. So everyone knew it was my Birthday, everyone was telling me happy birthday! The kids were super excited to tell me every time they walked by! I got a lot of hugs and smiles tonight!!!
Cake pops from Carol

Then Carol pulled this out!! Funny I was just telling her that she had to make cakepops for the team party because she make them SO GOOD! I have only had them once and that was 2 years ago but I was thrilled to have this little bit of sweetness!
It was a great day and I am blessed to have such fun and thoughtful people in my life!!!!

Best present ever!!!

batter up

Third base coach and number 14

pitching

my favorite pitcher
So for my best present I had my friend Jennie take over the score keeping and I got to watch the game! It was so nice and I got to take lots of pictures and cheer on my favorite team! It was hard not to keep track of the score and what Jennie was doing on the book but for the most part I was just enjoying my night off!!
It was a great game to watch since we were playing  the Royals which is Conner/Mudhens team. At the end of the game Brian was the pitcher and when Conner got up to bat those two boys were all smiles to each other. I cheered for Brian's pitching while I was cheering for Conner. Brian struck him out but he did have a great couple of tips and he still has a great stance and swing. The boys won this one another great present!!

My 34th birthday!!!

Kneaders cinnamon french toast
I was up and at them way to early for it being my birthday but I had a fun day planned and I was ready to get it started!
I was on the road by 530 and headed to the Logandale/Overton off ramp. I got there at 630 and there was Donna waiting for me! I parked my car and we were on our way to have a great day of shopping in STG.
We thought we should leave early so we would have all day to shop and just hang out well we got there so early that we decided to have some breakfast with Ashley. We picked her up and got the tour of the apartment and we were ready to go.
Donna suggested Kneaders and man it was a great choice! The french toast was amazing.
We hit all the stores plus some regulars and then before we knew it we were ready for lunch. Since we were all still kinda full from Kneaders we decided to hit Paradise Bakery (one of my FAVORITE places from AZ) for some yummy salads and soup! Cant forget the cookies that were bought for later happiness!!!
We said our goodbyes to Ashley and Nolan and we were off to Mesquite where Donna had to stop and get a couple of things. We realized that no matter what we do together we always have a WalMart stop.
We ended my birthday with a great pina coloda icee and then I was in the car and headed back home to get to the game!!!
I am so lucky to have Donna in my family! She is an amazing person who can make me smile no matter what! And her girls a are two of my favorite ladies ever!! Thanks to Ashley and Donna for making this one GREAT!!! and of course we decided to make a shopping day every birthday! So now we just have to wait till April!!!!

Almost offically....

Today as I entered
work my cashier told me that my boss was in the
office. Oh great I thought and started
checking things off in my mind of what we
still needed to do.
He was there for RX but he said he still
needed to talk to me when he was done.
Officially today I was
offered the
Store Manager
job.
I accepted and he said that as soon as all the
paperwork went through he would let me
know.
I have always said that I would never
ever take this job but now that I have been
doing it for months (well years) and with
work still slow for Dane I took it.
I am going to have to work really hard on
NOT being a work-holic like I know that
I will be, but I am ready for the
challenge and I am excited to start
this new job venture!!!

Yankees VS Dodgers

This is my view at the games now a days so I am not able to be the MOMarazzi (as some people refer to me and my camera). Today we up against the Dodgers and it was a great game! Brian was the starting pitcher and the first up to bat which thanks to his FAST wheels he has taken that spot for most of the games! He is the number one stealer on his team! If Brian gets on the base he is getting a score!!! He knows when to run and when he can make it ! Not yet have we gotten an unnecessary out due to him stealing a base!
We won this one and boy it was an exciting game!

Locked out

SONIC RUN
As I was enjoying a nice QUIET night to myself, Aubrie was at her friends house and Brian was at Evans and Andrews house. They had been playing all day since school got out and they were still going strong.
Dane came in to tell me that they (the dads) were running to the store. Shortly after they left I  heard some noises in the backyard but could not tell what it was. Then I heard three voices at the front window then POUNDING on the door. I opened it to find three little boys who were locked out of the house! Andrew and Evan were so worried that they would get in trouble cuz they locked themselves out. I told them not to worry I texted Rhonda on their request and they were popping popcorn before I knew it!
I have been feeling yucky so I thought SONIC!! Yes it was 915 at night but really what else did I have to do. So I got the three boys in the car and we went and got slushys from SONIC!
It was a fun adventure and when we got home they were only up for a little while longer and then they were all ready for bed. So we said goodnight to Andrew and Evan and Brian was passed out soon after they left!

After our game tonight we decided to stay and cheer on Conner who was not able to get on our team this year. We were all bummed but he did get on a good team, it just happens to be the remainder of the Mud Hens that are still around. The coaches are pretty much the same minus Ruben, but he will learn a lot and we will have to double cheer when he is up to bat when we play his team!!

Yankees VS the Philles

Another night at the baseball field....
I was able to snap some pictures in between the frantic scorekeeping...
I have to say that I am a huge fan of this cute number 14!! He was all over the game tonight!! He was the third base man and he was killing it as always! With Brandon on first these two are ready for a double play at all times and they seem to pull them off with ease!!!
The Philles are the only undefeated time left and we were up most of the game they got us in the end.

You want to do what with that....

His donation pile....
As I am going through all of Brian's toys I am not even looking at the batman cave as a toy that is an option to give away. He looks at it and says that we can donate that one to Ms Holly's preschool. I was like are you sure, why would you want to give this one away?? He was like because I don't play with it anymore and I am ready for it to go.
Well I am not ready. This toy has been in his room for so long that I would sometimes catch him playing with it but not at all lately.
I guess I am really kinda sad that he wants to get rid of this not because it was my favorite toy or anything but it was still a small part of him that was my little boy. I know that he is growing up and that he will soon be past all of his toys but I am not ready!!!

New Toy Box

New Toy Box

Thanks to Uncle Robb and Denine, Brian is the new proud owner of a toy box not just a toy box a Yankees toy box! It fits all of his cars and monster trucks (barely) and the third spots holds all of his miscellaneous toys. Not enough room for the Nerf guns and bullets so those have to stay out! So at 830 at night we (well I decided) to go through all his toys then his closet. I have a whole lot of donations and stuff that he says he is not interested in!

Yankees VS Red Sox

#14
Second game of the season and what a nail biter it was! Brian had a some extra cheerleaders there tonight! Craig and Tandra came out to cheer the Yankees on and thanks to her I got one picture of Brian!!! Everyone was ready for some Baseball and when the game started we were on it! Brian was the first up I think this might be his spot since he can steal the bases like no other!! He got a walk first time up and quickly stole second he was home two batters later and they were on a roll!!!
When we were defense he was Third base the whole time and killed it!! He did a great job, catching balls and guarding home stealer's!!!
Next time he was up he got a nice to  right field and stole second and got to third then he stole home!! He was the last runner to the plate to score number 10 in the top of the 3rd!! It was a nail biter from the time he was done crossing home plate. Two quick out and two scores then it was the all Brandon it was full count and he threw and the batter swung and missed! Game over!!  Final score was 10-8.
Yankees 1-1

Picture day!

Yankees 2012

Crazy Yankees!
Picture day is always a interesting day! This year was no different! We had almost the whole team there and were in and out pretty quick and of course what picture day would be complete with out a crazy pose!! I have to say what a great looking team!

First Game

Tonight was the first game that we had this fall ball. I was up to bat with the score keeping and Aubrie was my pitch counter and all I have to say is that is CRAZY!!! I can pretty much forget about taking any pictures when I am the score keeper! I could not breath half the time AAA moves so much faster then AA!
I am watching the game but not really paying attention to the whole game! So run down from everyone else was not so good we were playing a team that has played AAA 3 times and we are a team with mostly newbies! The game was fast paced and they were a little left in the dust to say it nicely! We have two great coaches and one that is questionable but the kids were trying their hardest.
Brian and Brandon made a great double out when Brian caught the ball on third and got it to first before the kid (Greg) made it to first! It was a great play, Brian got walked both times he was up to bat.
Needless to say it was not a great game so hopefully we will only get better!!!
Yankees 0-1

My favorite Yankees

Our first game as Yankees! Dane and Brian were ready when I got home which was 1.5 hours early. Brian was just in the mood to play some ball and so was Dane!
I think that these boys are my FAVORITE Yankees!!!

Going away party

Alyssa and Brian

cousin time in the hot tub
Summer went so fast this year and it is already time for Alyssa to go back to Hawaii. So we all thought it would be fun to have a going away party for her! So Uncle Les and Aunt Pam let us have it at thier house and like always it was a great time!
We had great food and lots of it! We all sat around chatting about what we had been up too this summer while the kids and some grown kids swam!!! We even made plans to come and see Alyssa when we go back to Hawaii in a year yes I am excited and already planning it for our 15th year anniversary. Valerie thinks we are crazy for always going to the same place but when you find your favorite place of course you want to go back as much as possible. Plus there is not a lot of places that I can get Dane to go with me so I am fine with Hawaii all the time!!
It was a great night that was over early for most of us it was a long day!!! We ended the night with Alyssa's favorite nothing bundt cake red velvet of course! Then we said our goodbyes and where home in bed shortly after!!

Caoch Dane

Coach Dane doing some umping
Dane was so happy that he got to coach again this season! He already knows all the kids and they all know him and look at him for what to do next! They all give him high fives and some even give him hugs after the games.
He was the "ump" again this scrimmage and he says that he doesn't really like having to call the pitches because what he sees might be something so different then what someone else sees. He did a good job.
He really has a knack with the kids, he is so supportive and gives them direction so well. I think he is just as excited for the season as Brian is!!

RED SOX scrimmage

He loves pitching

Batter up

After a very relaxing morning it was time for some Baseball. We had another scrimmage today and it was against the RED SOX, and Brian was ready to beat them. We got there and found a great shady spot with Carole and settled in to watch. It was so hot that the boys had to come and sit in the shade everyone once in a while! Good thing we brought lots of water!
Brian started the game off pitching and was doing a good job until he hit a kid who happens to be his friend. He threw the ball and it hit Ashton right in the face, he cried and Brian ran up to the base to make sure he was OK. Brian was told by Coach that he had to sit out for a minute because he was really upset. The other coach came over from the other team and told Brian that it was OK and that he was just doing his job and kids are going to get hit and Ashton should have moved. I was really impressed with the coach, he did not have to come over and talk to Brian but he did and it made Brian feel so much better!!!
I did not keep score but I know from all the kids that we won this one too. And even better this is the team to beat this season so I think we might have quite a good team.
First game is on Tuesday against the Royals which is Conner B's team so we will cheering for both a little! I am so ready for some Baseball!!!
