Excuse me.....

 Tonight the kids I decided that we would have a movie night!! We got a pizza, popcorn and as Brian calls them flavors!!  Then it was time to pick a movie, the kids knew what they wanted to see! Mr Poppers Penguins. We ate dinner first then I told them that I would take them to get a dessert from somewhere as long as it was at a drive through!! I mean it was PJ time as soon as we were done with the errands in the afternoon who wants to get ready again!

 They picked sonic and they both got a Blast. Brian got the M&M one and Aubrie chose Oreo. When I ordered them the guy at the window got it wrong so I corrected him and he got it right!
We got to the window and the guy said the wrong flavor again I was thinking are you serious, then he laughed and said the right ones.
As soon as the window went up Aubrie said that guy was flirting with you and she said I should have said "excuse me I have a husband". I told her that he was not flirting with me he was just being funny and Brian chimed in that I was wrong. Then Aubrie told me that it had been such a long time since Dad flirted with me that I must have forgotten what it was.
I love that my kids think that it has been so long that they need to tell me when someone flirts with me. Brian had to know if Dane flirted with me. It  was such a funny conversation to have with my kids!
We got home and watched the movie that was SO FUNNY !! I am sure it will be on someones Christmas list this year!!

Bridal /Birthday party!

It is about time that these two got hitched!! Dane and I have been wondering when they were going to do it!

Tonight was the bridal shower and also it was Tandra's birthday!! Holly, Allison and I all showed up ready to celebrate! The food was amazing and there was so much of and cake that we were all dying to try!! There friend or should I stay personal chef made a huge assortment of Mexican dishes and they were all so good, that we stood around the food table munching and trying everything!

We all hung out and chatted, Tandra's friends came in from all over the country! I had met most of them but there were a few who I had not! Everyone was having a good time dancing and remembering the songs that were playing and the crazy dances we all tried to do back in the day!
We did not sing to her but she was ready to cut her cake! And oh my gosh this cake was almost as good as my grandmas!! I ate it slowly to enjoy every last bite minus the one I mean 3 that were stolen!

Tandra opened her gifts and got these amazing flip flops that were hand made for her to wear on the beach in Jamaica on the beach when they day "I DO". She even got her Gucci glasses, I think she is ready for her trip!!

It was a fun night and we are all excited about going to the reception to celebrate there wedding!! I am so happy for these two and can not wait to see the pictures!!

Girls Camp meeting

Aubrie told me on Sunday she had good news to tell me when I got over to Grandmas house. She was so excited to tell me that she had her first girls camp meeting on Tuesday.
I can not believe that she is already old enough to go to girls camp. She was asking all kinds of questions about girls camp. Aunt Valerie hated it and has many horror stories, I loved my three years had a kinda bad experience the last year but I really enjoyed it.
Even though she is only 11 she gets to go to the meetings because she will be 12 in April. I am still blown away that she will be old enough to go. Time is flying and before I know it she will be graduating High school...
She had a great time at the meeting and is happy that her friend Morgan will be going with her. So she has her next one in a month.

GROSS!!

Brian has been helping me so much in the kitchen lately and today when I said that I had to make some banana bread he was all over it! He grabbed the bowl and the bananas and started to peel the first one, "GROSS" he said and put the half peeled banana in the bowl and told me that he was not helping with this one.
I would have thought that he would have loved the nasty slimy banana since he is a boy but I was wrong!! I was on my own and I do have to say that it was pretty tasty!!

Tosh's Party

Tonight the girls got together for Tosh's birthday. We usually do the dinner and some activity, but this year she had a friend who was throwing her a party and we were all invited!
It started out that the guys were going to come and Aubrie was going to babysit the kids. Then the guys all flaked and it was just us girls. Since Lisa lives in China we met her there and went in!
It was so much fun! We sat around and chatted without any interruptions, I love being able to finish a sentence without stopping.
These girls have been my friends for a while now and I have to say that I am so glad that we have kept our Birthday tradtition going! We have the best times when we are all together and it is always a great time!
Happy Birthday Tosh! I hope you had a great time because we did!!

Not really a game night

Ah we should really not called it that but it did start out that way last year! We did it for while last year and then with the holidays we all said that we would start it back up in January! I picked January and it came fast!
Of course there was lots of YUMMY food and plenty of it! It started out just the four couples but then we had some unexpected visitors!!  Craig and Tandra came and then I was shocked to see the Davis family! They were only going to stay for a minute but that turned into a while then we sent (Dane and Derek walked him over) Hayden to Holly's house where the kids were having there own game night!
The conversation was GOOD to say the least I do not know the last time I laughed that hard! Before we knew it midnight was here. The ladies decided that we would just walk to get the kids, got half way to Holly's and realized how cold it was!
When we got there, we had some upset kids. After all the stories were told we found out the Hayden who loves ghosts and paranormal stuff has asked the kids if they wanted to see a video. No one watched it except Aubrie, but it scared most of them. We all walked home trying to reassure them it was fake.
After getting Brian and Aubrie home, we said our Goodbyes and we cleaned up the house and fell into bed!!
Can not wait for next month.... Wonder what Holly has planned I bet it is not games!!

Finals are done!!!

This week was Aubrie's first ever week of Finals!! She got out of school at 11:40 and Dane went and got here everyday, except Friday and that was my day!! Oh my gosh she TALKED the whole time home it was crazy! She was talking about nothing at all and doing all sorts of accents and singing all the songs 3 octaves higher then they were suppose to sung!!
When she got home and took everything out of her bag she showed me that her binder had lost 5 lbs!! It was half the size it was just on Thursday! It was so neat that the Dean asked her to teach a class to the 6th graders about how to organize their binders!! hahahaha if they could only see her room.
She studied hard and thinks that she did good on her finals, I am sure that she did!!

Exactly what I needed

Sometimes I just need a day to have some relaxation with some friends. With working so much and all the extra activities the kids have now it is great when I can take an afternoon!
Lisa, Emilie and I made plans to get Pedi's and have lunch. I usually am not a huge fan of the pedi's they are nice but I am not in love with them.We all got our colors and I have to say that this was the first time that Emilie had her color and only changed it once!! This time I got a new lady for me and she was great!  I could have fallen asleep in the chair. We were all catching up and we had everyone rolling with our stories! Thank goodness we were the only ones in there!!
We went to Chili's had a great lunch. We caught up and decided that since Lisa is moving back to this side of town that we need to do more together!
I needed this and can not wait to start doing it more often!!

Turtle Power

Brian got some new toys today from Grandma! They were all of my Brothers ninja turtle toys! We came home with these two boxes but there is about 5 more still to be brought home!
He got them all set up by himself and was in his room for a long time just playing, He doesn't play with a lot if thing besides his cars but he really thinks these are so cool.
He has the movies and I am waiting for him to start wanting to watch them again!
It is nice that even though he did not know Brian that he gets to still have a piece of him. I know that if Brian was alive he would be in the room playing with him and having a great time.
Now we just have to find a place to put them seems like every time I get his room all done Grandma sends things home with them!

No you are not

 These kids crack me up !! Today while we were shopping with Goose they found these masks at Home Goods and had to try them out!! I took pictures of them and when I told Aubrie I was going to post them she about lost her mind!!

On the way home Aubrie kept asking for my phone! I told her it was too late I had already emailed them to the computer! She told me that she was not to happy with that answer!! Love being a mom!

Anniversary dinner

 

13 years we have been married this Monday. Who would have ever thought we would have made it this far?

Since we had a gift card that we have had since last Christmas and Danes parents were here

they said we should go out and have a nice dinner!

We did not hesitate to take them up on their offer! Holly and Aaron asked what we were doing

for our anniversary and we told them they should come out with us.

We went to Carrabas and had a great time! The guys were happy we were

seated where they could see the game. And the food was like 

always so GOOD. I was surprised when Holly handed 

us a present. It was a really nice frame that has a saying 

about love on it with a really nice card.

So thoughtful of her!

It was a fun time and when we were done we 

were not ready to go home.

So we went to Pt's and hung out.

We left right before karaoke started Dane wanted to sing a song but we were all pretty tired

even though it would have been so funny to watch Dane!!

We all had a great time and were laughing so hard about the lady who saw Aaron through 

the window, Aaron smashing his finger in the door 

and Dane making a new friend at the bar.

A great way to celebrate our Anniversary!!

Christmas with the Robinettes

Every year we have another Christmas in January with Dane's parents! The kids were wanting to open the presents before dinner but he got them to wait until after dinner.
Brian was thrilled with his Wii game, DS game and movies he even got what he always wanted (well since Christmas when he got the Skylander game and all the figures had been sold out) a 3 pack of new Skylanders!!! And something that he has asked Goose for the last 3 Christmas Santa Buddies!!

Aubrie loved her new DS game and her lotion! I think that she is good on lotion for the next ten years! She also loved her Cafe Rio giftcard so now she can take me to lunch! She did not think that was so funny! She said it was all for her I told her if I drive you there you have to buy me lunch! She said what ever mom, the teenage attitude is coming on quick!!!



Dane was most excited about his hat! He put it on and would not take it off, unitl he made us all try it on! And we had to hear how it was the greatest hat ever! I think it so cute that now he matches Chuck!

For the first time

 
Brian brought home his first Straight A report card! He was so proud of himself and so are we!! He has always had 3 A's and 2 B's or 4 A's and 2 B's. He told me that he has been working so hard to get all A's and he did it! Way to go Brian!!

Sharing a Suprise

Brian got a Surprise!! His favorite thing in the snack world!! Pistachios a whole bag to himself!! He grabbed a bowl and sat down to enjoy it!! He was in heaven and even shared with Grumpy!! But informed him that he could not eat them all because he had to save some so he could enjoy them again after school!!

A wolf scout

Brian is a Wolf scout! Pack 281 and thanks to Grandma he was already to go with all his patches tonight! He was wating for  with his book in hand! He was so excited that we forgot to have him wear his bandana. When I picked him up he was going 100 miles a minute! He told me that he had an assignment that he had to complete for next time.
When he got home he informed me that he wanted to have blackberries as his dessert because he needed to start eating healthier! I asked him what that meant and he said you know like eat fruit for dessert!!

Thanks Grandma

Grandma LOVES
to send things home with the kids every Sunday and today was no different! As soon as they got home they were in their PJ's and setting up this game! They were going to set it up in the family room but then realized that it was too close to the TV.
So this game you stack the tubes up and chuck a ball at them! They had a fun time trying to set them up so the other one could not get them all down!! 

Brian got baptized

So this day was a dousy!! I have been in bed since Thursday when I got sent home from work! I was so sick that I had not eaten since Wednesday night since I was coughing so hard that I threw up everything I ate! I was so worried that I was not going to be able to make it to his baptism, that is when I decided that I needed to call Uncle Richard and ask him to give me a blessig so I could go! I could not reschedule because Matthew had flown in just to be her to baptize him. Kyle and Richard got to the house at 12 gave me a blessing they even took Brian to have lunch with them and said they would meet us at the church, after they were left I went in and slept until 230 and was able to get up and take a shower and get ready!!! I was not feeling 100 percent but I made it! 

Matthew had tried so hard to get Brian to wear a "skirt" with him but Brian did not think that he his dad would have liked it that much.
Matthew baptized him ( and only one dunk). After the baptism Kyle confirmed Brian! I am so proud of his chose that he made today!
I am also so blessed to have the family that I have! My cousin Matthew has baptized both of the kids and there is only one other person that would have done it but since that is not in the cards, I am glad that Matthew did it !!
As you can tell I was so out of it that I did not get a lot of pictures but it was a day to remember!!

Got a meeting

He has a very important meeting tonight!!
He is meeting with the bishop to see if
he can get Baptized.
I am not worried at all,
but I think that he was.
He was worried about the questions and if he would have the right answers.
I was sure that he would be OK.
Thanks to a great grandma!!
She took him since I have gotten really really sick.
When he came home he was all smiles!!
And said that he was all good and he could get baptized!!!
So proud of this guy!!

Very First.....

Brian had his first ever pack meeting this evening! I am not feeling so well so Grandma said that she would come with me. As you can see I am under the weather that I forgot my camera. And I really did not care at the point that I remembered.
Brian and his friend James were both starting tonight. They called Brian up to the table and he had to lift the CHEER box lid and we all cheered and then when he closed it we stopped! We sang a song and watch a little skit that the older boys did about a Bandanna. Brian thought it was so funny because one of the boys in the skit thought he said Banana.
After that the parents mingled and the boys played a game. I was surprised that I knew a lot of the moms and everyone was so nice! After the game it was refreshments and the boys were not shy with the desserts!!
Brian filled his plate and we were off, he is so excited to do this and could not stop talking about the pine wood derby that is in March.
