Trick or Treat

Trick or Treating time!! What a crazy day!! Got home from work, picked up kids from school, made Chili and got the kids in their costumes. We barley made it in time for our pictures out front with all the kids!! The kids were ready to go and get some candy, but of course it was picture time first!!

We had the usual group the Otero's, Lexi, Tom, Grandma, Aunt Valerie, the Dugans, this year Uncle Robb and The Gonzales came with us!!!! The kids were ready to go and do the Carnival down the street that has become a favorite thing on Halloween. They played all the games and got the treats and even got some more candy then it was time to start knocking on some doors!! The kids are getting older so they want to do more and more each year, unlike years past they were not tired after just our normal three block we went all over and they got so much candy!!!

Gavin needed a ride and Dane was more then willing!!

When we got home the kids were dumping their candy out to look and it and sort it! Brian and Paige were all over answering the door to hand out candy!! Grandma helped Brian get his into piles and they were allowed to have 3 pieces each!!

Aubrie went as far to WRITE down all her candy and how many of each she had. She said it was because that way Dane could not steal her candy!!

Carving some pumpkins

This year Halloween was on Monday it has seemed to come so fast and I was trying to figure out when we were going to carve pumpkins. Since we always go to Moms house for dinner on Sunday I figured it would be perfect time to do it!!
We set up shop on Grandma's back patio and started to take out the "guts" as Brian calls them.

Brian got Grandma to help him and as you can see Aubrie had her attitude to help get the guts!! She was so mad that we were all laughing at her and not doing it for her!!

Brian was thrilled that he got to carve alone this year! Grandma was not so thrilled she was worried that he would hurt himself.

After a bunch of laughter mostly us laughing at the kids and their lovely comments we were done and ready to light them up!!

Not to bad!!! Another successful carving.

Halloween Party

This year was a first in a long time where Dane and the kids did not go to Dumont for Halloween. So we were invited to a Halloween party at the Gonzales house, Dane and I are not big dressing up kind of people so we went but we did not dress up. Everyone else was in full costume, but we did not care, we had a great time!!! There was good music, yummy food and a lot of laughter!!
Rhonda and Bert were dressed up as nerds and they were so funny!!!!

I have to say that Glenn's costume was the best!! Even though I hate masks and it freaked me out when he was staring at me to FREAK me out!

PIcutures and Hot Dog

Craig and Tandra are getting married!! CRAZY the things we are willing to do for him!!! He asked us to come and be part of his pictures that he is taking for his wedding and we all said of course we will be there!!! I even got the whole family to match and I got some pictures behind the Photographer!! Even though we were only down there for 15 minutes we had a great time seeing our friends who are so excited to tie the knot!!

After the pictures we were hungry well really the boys were so we stopped at place that I have wanted to stop at for YEARS!!! Chicago dogs, it is an old school place that has been here for a while and not in the best part of town but it was day time so we stopped!!! Brian and Dane got some food while Aubrie and I ate some fries!! It was one of the best hot dogs ever is what Brian said so I guess we will have to go back!!!

Happy Birthday Paige

I can not believe that Paige is 9!!! We have known this little quiet girl since she was at Sweet Pea and so was Brian. They have been buddies for years and the kids were so excited to celebrate her birthday with her again this year!!
Holly threw my kind of party where the kids come and the parents go and have a free night without the kids!! Dane and I were all ready to go out then we decided that we would rather get some food and watch the World Series in the comfort of our own home. We had a great time and then walked over to get the kids together. We are truly an old married couple.....

They had a great time in the bouncy house and dancing. When I came back to get them we watched Paige open her presents and helped Holly clean up and then it was time to call it a night!

Fall is here...

Mp school today so Rhonda and I decided to take the kids to Floyd Lamb for a little bit of a photo shoot, picnic and FUN!!! When we got there we ate some lunch and started snapping away!! W e have been there in years past so we thought it would be fun to take some of the same pictures and see how much the kids have grown. I think that after all the photos taken of these four kids they are trained and ready at the push of the button

Here is one from 2006 on the same bench!!!

They had a great time running around and climbing trees!! Rhonda was brave this year again and brought bread for them to feed the CRAZY ducks and geese. I did not because every year they get all crazy and chase us for the bread!! The kids were all over feeding them until they came out of the water and waddled behind us for a long time and they are not nice geese at all, so we ran around from the Geese Patrol for a while.

It was so much and I also got some really GREAT pictures for some Christmas presents I am making!! Thank goodness we have such HAMS!!!
