Trick or Treating

After carving pumpkins it was time to get dressed and ready to trick and treat!! We were ready to go when Gramma and Aunt Valerie came over to go with us.
Aubrie was a fifties girl, Rhonda's mom made her poodle skirt that turned so cute!! I found her the cutest cardigan at Old Navy, she looked so cute!! Brian had wanted to be Elvis then we were going to do the Fonz but we could not find a leather jacket in time and so we decided on a hunter, needless to say he was not too thrilled with his costume but after quite a few complements he started to really like it!!

Once again this year it was the original group that have been tricking treating together since Brian was in my tummy!!!

This was the back of Brian's pumpkin that he thought he ruined but it was really pretty cool, so wanted me to take a picture!! I guess that we should have just left it and it would have been a Brian original!!!

We went down the street to the carnival that our neighbors have every year and the kids were really excited to play the games and get the tickets to claim prizes!! While the kids were playing we found Valerie a new man!!! I asked Brian to take a picture and when he was done he said to everyone " hahahaha I just took a picture with my new Uncle" It was so funny!!

This year the kids wanted to go to more houses then they have ever wanted to before!! They are usually asking if they can go home this year it was the adults saying that they were done and wanting to go home.

When we got to the last house our group of kids went from this big group to this small group kids!!!

When we got home the kids were dumping out there candy and then the sorting started. Then we had to fit all in one gallon zip lock bag for each of them. So we had to throw some away and put some in another jar. After the candy sorting we had our Traditional Chili diner which is Aubrie favorite part of Halloween or so she says!!!
It was another great Halloween and over chili the kids were already talking about what they are going to be next year!!

Carving Pumpkins!!

The kids got home right as I was leaving for work this morning so we set up our game plan on Pumpkins!!!
As soon as I got home they helped bring in the pumpkins and Aubrie got the table cloth and it was time to start cleaning out the pumpkins. My kids hate this part and always ask me to do it for them and every year I say no!!

So we all went to town and started cleaning them out and then it was time to carve. Aubrie had to draw her face on so it would be perfect, Brian and I just starting making the face!! I was done first and I think that mine looks the same every year but oh well!!
Brian was not to happy about what his looked like so we turned it around and I helped him get the right face!!!
MINE

Brian's

we went with ears because my dad always put ears on them and the kids loved it!!!
Aubrie's

When they were all done and it was time to get ready we placed them in their spots and rushed off to get the rest of the night started!!!

Dumont Dunes for Halloween

Dane and the kids made their annual trip to the Dunes for the Halloween weekend. They all piled into the car bright and early and headed to Dumont, and I headed to do some shopping!!
Thank goodness for Chuck and Emilie who allowed them to sleep and stay in their trailer. The kids had a blast and got to trick or treat and even carve pumpkins!!

It was a fun weekend and they were all excited to come home and carve pumpkins and trick or treat again. I think that Dane was the most excited he was coming home. Him and Dumont do not mesh, he was in a Rhino accident and he was not even messing around this time. He rolled the Rhino end over end three times and had to be driven back to the rest of the group. He looks like the Rhino won at least by his eye!!!

Funny Faces

Another great idea that was thought up by Rhonda and I!! Another one that would have sat in the closet for years until Brian saw it and asked to color it!! They got the markers out and were done in no time!!!

I hate masks but these ones I can handle!!! Happy Halloween!

a "BOOing" we will go

This year we got BOOed!! It was quite the sight, Dane running out the door underwear and gun in hand cuz someone banged on the gate at 830, he tends to think that the world comes to a halt when he goes to bed!! Anyways I did not tell the kids until the next week when I made home made dipped pretzels and we bagged them and headed off to BOO!!
First up was the Otero family who Brian did so fast, then it was Gramma. Aubrie got that one and was running down the street in no time. Then it was on to Messerli's house, and of course the door was open and the security door was shut so Brian ran as quietly as he could put the bag on the mat and went to ring the doorbell and nothing, but he still came running towards the car like a mad man. Only to get around the corner to find out that he had not even knocked on the door, so around the block we went and he got out and ran up and knocked on the gate and took off again.
Then we got Aunt Valerie and had to wait on getting Miss Holly!! She was out so we have to get her another night!!

PS- we had to get Miss Holly the next day, so we walked around the corner the next night and Aaron was outside so we were almost busted then Brian ran up to the door and was running up the street before me and Aubrie knew what was going on!!

Chocolate anyone??

After school today I had to make the "Boo" treats so we could go out and Boo everyone on our list!!! My kids were all over the bowl of left over chocolate!! Brian would have stuck his face in there if I had let him!!

Shooting......

The guys loaded up the kids to take them shooting this morning which was a nice time for the moms too!!!
The boys were so excited and could not wait to get in the car!! Aubrie was more excited that she was in charge of the camera and taking pictures! She took so many that were so funny and a lot of herself!!!

Everyone got to shot and they were gone for a good portion of the afternoon!! These kids love to have their dads take them out to do anything especially when they get to do it together!!

A double double and Golden Spoon

Tonight after the carnival Grandma and I took Brian to his favorite place In and Out where he told me that he wanted a double burger with no onions. I did not think he would eat it all but I ordered him one and I got the regular one.
We found a seat and he was all over the Double Double and the fries too. He polished it off with out any left and even ate all of his fries!!! Where he put it is beyond me.

Then on the way home he asked for some Golden spoon for dessert. I figured that it would be OK because he would probably take it home and not eat the whole thing. I was wrong again he ate all his ice cream.
I can not believe that he ate all of that and then when we got home he asked for desert, hahahaha. So I let him eat an apple, he must be having a growing spirt.

Fall Carnival

Valerie invited us to go to her school for her fall carnival. Gramma and I took Brian in his costume, Aubrie was at a Birthday party so it was just the three of us. When we got there it was crazy and we had to hunt down Valerie!!

She was able to walk around with us and introduce us to a lot of people at her school!! Brian got to play all sorts of games. He played Tic Tac Toe with a nurse, of course she let him win so he could get his prize!!!

Then we found this lovely booth were you stuck your hands in the dead man to feel his heart, brains and everything else gross!! He would not stick his hands in the head though he said he was good!!!

Oh then it just kept getting grosser at this booth he had to pick this giant nose and dig for a prize. He got his hand and arm all the way up the nose and got a prize!!

He had a couple of tickets left and bought a snow cone that he could not even finish because it was cold outside and he was freezing!! What a fun night we had and he told me that next year we have to bring Aubrie!!!

Kids Vention!!

Today I had the pleasure of going to Aubrie's field trip with her which was the first one she has had since 2nd grade. The kids all piled on the buses and the parents followed !!!

I had no idea what I was in for when we got there, there were a TON of kids and they were all ready to have a good time!! We got our seats and the noise began!!
It was a mock political convention where the kids heard debates and to vote on what side they were on!! It was so funny to see and watch the kids vote and get really excited about voting!!

I am glad that Aubrie wanted me to go and that she is not embarrassed of me that bad to where she does not want anything to do with me !!! She did not care that I was there and had no problem sitting next to me !!

Rain day

Tonight Dane called the kids outside to watch the rain, then before we knew it they were outside playing in the rain. Then Evan and Andrew came out and joined in the fun!!

They all ran around playing the rain and then it got really cold and it was time to go inside!! When it rains in Vegas you have to stop and enjoy it before it is gone because who knows when it will be back again!

Happy Birthday Emilie!!!

Tonight we celebrated Emilie's Birthday!! We first started off getting our pedicures which has become a birthday tradition for us!!! We had quite the time trying to find a place and when we did it was really interesting especially when they brought out the cheese grater (seriously it looked like the one i have in my kitchen) but we had a good time laughing while they were doing it!!

Then we met up with Tosh at Bucca and had a great dinner with the WEIRDEST waiter ever that had a thing for Tosh!! We all thought at one time he was going to put his tongue in her ear! It was a another laughing fest as we sat through his weirdness!!

We had our regular photo shoot after dinner and then we were off to hang out at Emilie's for a while with the kids and the husbands.

They were all outside playing and having a good time and Brian could not wait to show us his jumping skills!!

We enjoyed our cupcakes and had a few more laughs and then it was time to head home!! It was so fun and I am so glad that all of us have become such good friends and that we always celebrate our birthdays together!
Happy Birthday Emilie!!
