| The score keeping Bible |
Tonight the Yankees had their second scrimmage game and it was my first time at having to keep score. OK so you think how hard can it be to keep score.... well let me tell you that it is INTENSE!!!!
Not only do you have to keep score you have to keep track of where the players are on the field at all times(the team up to bat) and you have to keep track of where the ball is hit and where the kids are when they are when they get out, the pitch count for the pitcher (can not go past 75) and last but not least you have to keep track of the pitch count. Needless to say it is crazy and when you have people ask you questions it take you right off track and you will more then likely lose where you are! But at the end of the game I finally was in a grove.
The game was a lot of walking and not a lot of hits but it was fun to watch!! Brian was up to bat twice and walked once and got hit once! He did not even care he shook it off and took his base. He was bummed that he did not get to hit.
We won this one too! It was 9-4, we seem to have a pretty good team so we have an exciting season coming up!! Next scrimmage Saturday!
