Toy Story 3

Gramma, Aunt Valerie and I had decided that we should take the kids to see Toy Story 3 before track break was over. So we picked Wednesday, I invited Emilie and Gavin to come along since Emilie and I had talked about going to see it!


We or really I decided that we should see it in 3-D!! So we all got our glasses and got our seats!! I passed out Toy Story gummies to all the kids and were ready!! It was such a good movie, another Disney hit! I cried total mom moment! The kids loved it and of course it went on the must buy list!!

Water fight!

Hottest day of the summer so far and the kids were dying to go outside I just kept saying no! Well then Dad got home and came in and told them to get their swimming suits on and come out front!
They have never moved so fast! They were outside in seconds and ready to get wet. Brian went over to get Andrew and Evan but their MEAN mom said "NO". So Dane turned on the hose and started spraying the kids!Then he handed the hose to Aubrie and let her have at him with the water!






Bert came over and got the boys to come out. They were running up and down the sidewalk being sprayed they all got turns with the hoses and were having a great time getting wet!!! Andrew informed Dane and Bert that this was the best day ever! After two sessions of water they all laid their towels down on the rocks to dry out. Dane and Bert had the music going and the boys were dancing to the songs. I even caught Dane dancing hahaha!They were all outside for a while then came in and had dinner and were fighting the sleep for the rest of the night!

Family photos and a little exploring!!

After a Breakfast of Muffins and Fruit we were all packed and ready to go. Good thing we were watching cuz we could have been hit with the flying coffee cup!! Ever since the Otero's have been coming we all head to "our creek" and take family pictures. We always have the kids stand on the bridge for the same picture, it is crazy to see how much they have grown over the years!!

We lined the Dads and the kids up since it is the Fathers day camp out!! Then the moms and the kids I was almost falling off when Bert snapped the picture!!!


Then we took family pictures that we have taken in the same spot every year!! I can not believe looking at this picture that Aubrie is almost as tall as me, dang she is going to be so tall!!!


Dane and the kids have always stood on this bridge Dane is usually holding one of them up and the other one is standing under neath, not this year Aubrie was tall enough to stand like her dad. He was shocked he did not think she would be able to do it.

After the photo session Rhonda and I took our day three picture!! We were laughing so hard once again!! Then we went alongside the back of the creek, in all the years that we have been coming here we have never explored the other side!! We found some really good fishing spots and some really nice swimming spots oh and of course we found some Great photo spots!!



After a while we were ready to head home to the heat and my least favorite part Laundry!! This trip was so much fun we had so had so much fun writing Rhonda's blog out loud and just enjoying our selves !!! There are so many stories and I am sure that I have forgotten many of them but there is always that COMMA to help you remember!!

Fishing, Swimming and hanging out,

This morning we got up after sleeping later then usual yeah finally got some sleep!!! Everyone was excited to have Rhonda's famous baggie omelets!!! We got everything ready and this year the boys were quite helpful with breakfast. It was so YUMMY as usual. After we all got cleaned up we headed to the lake to do some fishing!!
We stopped at Cedar Breaks and took our group picture maybe this year we can finally make the shirts we have been talking about for years Ü

We got to the lake and the moms headed off to see if they had posted the picture at Bear Paw where Evan got lost last year. They guy remembered and asked us where Evan was now, I answered that he was duck taped to a chair. hahaha Then we went over to the store and had ourselves some ice cream goodness as we sat and chatted we were once again laughing.
We headed back over to the lake and hung out while the boys fished. Dane and Bert only after finally being able to sit down and fish both caught fish. Dane had the big one that got away oh nice fish story for him!!!

After the hours of fishing we headed to the stop where Dane and Bert want to camp next year! A really cool place in the middle of no where! As we were leaving we saw a skeleton of some animal, so we stopped and it was a sheep skeleton. It had no legs and there was fur every where so then the boys were like oh it had to be a bear and look over there I bet that is a bear cave. Right and they want us to camp there HUH?? Then we headed to the Creek so the kids could swim and we could all get cleaned up a little. Well last year the kids jumped in and so did the boys, not this year it was so cold!! Aubrie and Bert were the only ones that got in up past their waists the other kids got in and out and in and out. We packed up and the guys headed to the store for stuff to cook the fish. Rhonda drove us all back and we found a short cut to Aspen Mirror lake.

When we got back we started dinner! This year after years of the same menu we switched it up and made some new and great dinners that really required hardly no dishes SCORE!!! After we all ate the boys cooked the fish that was devoured when Rhonda and I went to the bathroom we both seriously got a sliver of fish to try! After that the boys did dishes Yes you read right they did dishes and clean up the cooking area!! NICE is all I have to say!!!
The kids were playing in the fort and having a great time!! Rhonda and I were discussing how funny it is that Andrew and Aubrie our CNN reporters are just like each other and that Evan and Brian are one in the same too. So crazy that we have kids who are just alike in their personalities!!


After play time we did Smores again and put the kids to bed!! All of them were ready except for Andrew who hung out till the end. He was quite the tasty kids morsel!! After he went to bed the grown ups sat around the campfire and of course to quote Dane I was laughing hysterical like a 13 year old, which only made us laugh harder!! I think he was just mad because he was out of sparkly berry lip gloss!!! We all called it a night and were bummed that we had to go home the next day!

Robinette- Otero Campout Dugan day....

Is it really already time for our camp out?? After endless trips to Walmart, being treated like a teenager at Target and staying up WAY to late we were off this morning. Well only after I set the alarm wrong and we were late, then we forgot the hammer and then we were on our way only to realize that I forgot my tennis shoes, I could not really camp in flip flops for a weekend. Oh let me tell you how happy that made Dane, but MR and MRS cool your jets were fine with it. Finally 1.5 hours later then we had planned we were on our way!! We made really good time and got to Duck Creek!!
We found our spot the same that we had last year and went on a Bathroom trip (love the flush able toilets baby) When we got back to our site the Dugans were already there, they had come early to see if they liked it and they did and now next year they are coming with us!

We started getting camp set up and then we decided to take the kids on a walk to the campground sign and around in the meadow in the front. We stopped and took some pictures of everyone, as we were walking out of the meadow we were cutting through the grass and all of the sudden we saw some long thing flying through the air, the moms screamed and the kids laughed at us, it was a really cool looking frog! So yes we took pictures and then we were pack on path to the sign.



The kids all found really cool walking sticks on this hike so of course they had to be in the picture, I think the boys were more excited that they doubled as weapons.
When we got back to camp we all loaded in the back of Danes truck and headed to "our creek" or so we call it. There is a bridge that we always have to take pictures at and now we had a new face Gavin so of course we had to take some~

The guys set up the poles for the kids and we all fished and hung out for a while. Then it was time to say goodbye to the Dugans we tried to get Emilie to call in sick but we had no luck!! Next year that is all I have to say!


So this year at Walmart Rhonda found a funnel for me, every year I struggle to pour the Coleman fuel in my heater and every year I say that we have to buy a funnel. So this year Rhonda remembered for me. Anyways Dane was all stoked and for the first time in the history of our camp out he filled the heater. When he was done he set it on the table next to me and Rhonda for me to put away. Rhonda and I were so tired and not really paying attention, so Rhonda picked up the funnel and( oh I am laughing right now) she read the label "all purpose funnel" then she pondered what else it could be used for and then as if I was watching in SLOW MOTION she put the end in her mouth. I could not get the words out, finally they came" oh Dane already used that for the fuel" she did this spitting action with her mouth and we could not stop laughing for at least ten minutes. Then we just kept laughing when ever we thought about it.

So after the laughter stopped the kids were bummed because their was some mean kids that were not being nice them, so we told them to stay away from them. Then they found a fort in the campsite next to us and they were so excited. Before long the dads came over and started moving whole trees that were fallen done and pretty soon they had the best fort ever. So those crappy kids were really bugging the kids when out of no where we started seeing glow sticks all over camp, so Dane was on it. He picked one up and asked them if they wanted it back and they were smart mouths to Dane. Then we found more and he was over the little hill questioning them and not liking their answers, he started getting loud and then one dad came over and made his kid go to the tent. Then 5 minutes later a whole group of kids and their parents came over the parents made them say sorry and we were all impressed with that.

Then we started dinner and then it was time for Smores and bed time!! We were so tired and we all called it a night early, oh well I thought I was tired. As soon as we got in the tent I was awake. Then when I finally got to sleep Danes phone rang then Snoop Doggy Dog was bumping in the camp ground, then Brian woke up with growing pains and he came and squeezed into our bed. Just as I finally fell asleep it was time to get up, GREAT!!!

A little Surprise!!

I found this great bug kits at my work and had to get them for the kids for the 6th annual Robinette- Otero camp out!! Every year we try and get them something to do or have, I had also found some stretchy bugs and really cute bug pencils at target!! The kids have bug kits almost every year but last year we could not find them so when I saw these I knew that i had to get them!!
So in the morning I will give them each there new kit and add a little more excitement to something they love!!!

Father's Day

Today was a relaxing day !! The way that Dane likes it!! The kids went to church with my mom and then Dane picked them up!! I got home from work and cooked Dane one of his favorite meals, Stragonoff and corn!! It was so good if I do say so myself.
He opened all of his cards and gifts!! He loved the frames and all the cards that they had made for him!! I got him a new wood burner that has interchangeable tips for it.
After presents we all watched some TV and then it was time for bed(for Dane) !!! We had a relaxing day and that was what he wanted!!! Happy Fathers day babe!

Circus with the Dugans!!!

For Fathers day this year we were invited to join the Dugans at the Circus!! I have not been in a LONG time and was excited to take the kids!! And oh boy they were excited to go with Gavin and then they were excited to find out that Jacob (chuck and Emilie's nephew) was going to!!
We got there and before we got our seats Dane bought all the kids cotton candy that came with crazy hats!! They were excited about the cotton candy bit even more excited about the hats!!

The circus started and it was so much fun!! There was everything you could think of!! And of course Brian and Gavin were so excited about the bikes that were in the steel cage!! They got everything that they could imagine!! Popcorn, Lemonade in cool cups and REALLY good seats!! Even the Dads were having fun watching the craziness!!!


It was a great night and we are already talking about going next year!! The kids had a blast and were talking about it the whole way home!! Brian could not believe that they got 7 bikes in the steel cage !!!! What a great way to celebrate Fathers day!!!
