happy Birthday Tandra!!!

Tonight was Tandra's 45th Birthday party. I can not believe she is 45 she looks SO much younger!!!
It was the first time I have ever been to their house so I got the grand tour upon arrival!! It is a nice house with lots of room. Bert was the DJ and had the music going right when we walked in!! His set up was nice and of course he played really good music. There was a lot of good food and fun games to play. The best was musical chairs that some how Tandra kept losing her seat but she ended up winning the game, good to be the Birthday girl!!!
We had a great time and can not wait to celebrate there again for Craig's graduation!!!

Dancin Cowboys &Magic tricks

Tonight we went to my Moms house for dinner with CJ and his wife!!! My kids love CJ and his wife even if they did not bring Charlie. They had come into town for a short trip and stayed with my Mom. She loves when Brian's friends come and stay with her, and they have all been so good to include her in their lives!!! When we got there Brian had to show CJ and Stephanie his dancing in his cowboy boots!! CJ even joined in on the dancing.

Well my Mom made Frito pie, which was Brian's favorite and is Aubrie's favorite!!! We had dessert and then the fun began. CJ was doing magic tricks and the kids were trying to do some too!! It was really funny to see Brian trying to make up his own trick he was really close on a lot of his guesses that is for sure!!
We had a great time and can not wait to see them again and to see the baby when she or he arrives!!!!

His First!!!!

Today Brian lost his first tooth!! He came running out into the garage and said my tooth needs to come out. Unlike most kids he was fine with me sticking my hand in his mouth and pulling it out. It was a LONG process with Miss Aubrie who freaked out to a long time before her first tooth came out!!!
He was so excited he wanted to surprise his Gramma and Aunt Valerie!!! They guessed right away and he proceeded to tell them that the tooth fairy would bring him $2000.00. Um not in this life time!!!
He went to bed with a death grip on the bag the tooth was in. Both hands were holding on for dear life, good thing that he is a DEEP sleeper!!!!
He awoke to find a dollar under his pillow!!!! He was $1999.00 short but he was really excited anyways!!!

Weekend with Uncle Robb....

This weekend the kids had a great adventure with their Uncle Robb. He picked them up at school and took them to his place for the weekend. Of course they were excited and could not wait.
He took them to Chuck-e-cheese that night, their favorite and there mean Mom will not take them. Good thing that someone loves them!!!

They had a busy weekend, he took them to Lowes to make a Tic tac Toe box, they went and saw The tooth fairy movie and Loved it Brian will recite any part of for you!!! They played Basketball and took a hike and just had a great time!! Aubrie cooked breakfast for the boys and Brian said it was really good!!
They had a great time and are already asking me when they can go again!!!

Happy Birthday Tosh

Last weekend Tosh turned 40!!! The big one yippee!!! The girls (plus Melissa) took her out tonight for her birthday. We met Tosh and Melissa at TGIFridays at the Suncoast, we had Yummy food and we were seated next to party of like 50 people that was mostly pre teen girls oh that was exciting!!!
After we had dinner we went and saw "Its complicated". I have not laughed so hard in a movie theater in a long time!! It was a really good movie all except I do not think that Alec Baldwin should get paid to take his shirt off, just saying is all.
I had a great time, I hope that Tosh had a great time !! We are done for birthdays for a while they all seem to fall in September and October!!!

Disney on Ice!!

Tonight Emilie and I took the kids to see Disney on Ice. They were so excited to go it was funny Brian kept asking every day are we going tonight is it tonight!
It has been raining for the last couple of days, when we got there it was raining and we ran into the Thomas and Mack. Emilie had a free camera coupon so we got the camera and gave it to Aubrie. The show started and it was the Cars cast up first which excited Brian and Gavin!! The cars were live size and were driving all over the ice. Then it was Little Mermaid, Lion King and then it was Tinkerbell.
The whole time Aubrie was snapping pictures, she was sad that she had taken all the pictures before Tinkerbell came out so I had to take lots of pictures of that show for her. The kids had a great time and enjoyed every minute of it. They loved that popcorn and the cotton candy also.
When we left it was still raining and we could not remember where the car was so we jetted across the puddles and found the car. We were all wet and cold but it was well worth it!! Thanks to Emilie and Gavin for going with us, we can not wait for next year!!!

hApPy KItTY

We have a happy kitty again!! Misty got here stitches out today and wow is she happy but mad at me!!We took her to the vet this evening and she cried the whole way there, we got there and she was not to happy, when they brought her out she was ready to go. She made not one peep on the way home, she got out the car and ran into the house. The first thing she did was run for her food!!! Yeah Misty is back!!! It is a little weird to see her without the cone, but they gave it to us, so if she ever gets out of line we can out it right back on her!! haahha no I would never she would probably attack me in my sleep.
We are glad that our cat is back and better then ever!!!

The Park with Goose and Robb

While I was at work today the kids had a GREAT time with our company!! First they went to breakfast where Aubrie finished her meal and everyone elses. Then they came home and played outside with Andrew and Evan.
A little while later the kids got Goose and Uncle Robb to take them to the Park. Aubrie roller skated to the park and Brian rode his bike with Robb. They had a great time and were there for almost two hours!!
Needless to say there were tired kids when I got home and they were still outside playing!!! Finally they came in to have a yummy dinner that Grumpy prepared. Then we all watched some TV and it was bedtime!! They had a great weekend with Goose, Grumpy and Uncle Robb and the countdown has begun for when they go to Arizona for a week with out us!!

Free Helmets and BMX show!!!

Today we went to Land Rover of Las Vegas with Grumpy, Goose and Uncle Robb, for an event where the kids could get free helmets and watch a BMX bike show. The kids were so excited to go they were stirring around the house and kept asking can we go yet.
We arrived and meet us with Bert and Rhonda and the boys. The kids were all so excited to see each other and to get helmets! Dane's friend Ricardo was there for the BMX bike show. The kids all got fitted for their helmets, Aubrie and Brian picked the same one just different colors!!
We all hung around watching the guys warm up and then the show started. There was three riders Ricardo, Mike Rubio and the 43 year old Gary. They did a lot of tricks and the kids were really impressed!! They started off small and got to bigger tricks.

Brian volunteered to be part of the show. He was suppose to ride this little bike but he the guy forgot to tell him to lean forward and he fell right on his butt!! He was so embarrassed that he would not try again.


Then they did the "wall of death" which Dane, Aubrie and Bert were part of the wall. Ricardo jumped right over all of them. It was a great trick and it really impressed the three of them. The final trick was the triple back flip!
After the show the guys were signing the helmets for the kids. The one rider Gary who had gotten Brian to help felt really bad and came over to make sure he was OK. It was a great afternoon and we got FREE helmets!

Christmas with Goose and Grumpy

Every year Grumpy and Goose come to town after Christmas to have a mini Christmas with the kids. We had some presents for them from the kids, Grumpy got his mug and Goose got her calender. Then it was time for the kids to rip into their presents.


Brian was so excited to get a Nerf gun from Jerry and Michelle and he got some movie, a Wii game and his favorite Big Buck Hunter.
Aubrie got Pixos, a Wii game and some really cute earrings. She was really excited to play her Wii game it is a Hannah Montana game that you have to sing and dance with the game. She was showing us her skills!!

Hunting Stories....

Grumpy and Goose arrived this afternoon, the kids were so excited to see them. Grumpy brought a bunch of hunting magazines for Dane and Robb. Brian was looking at them and was asking Grumpy a lot of questions. He was so interested in everything so Grumpy decided to read him a story from one of the magazines.

Later he was looking at another magazine and Dane started to read him a story. He was so happy listening to the story that he sat still for the whole story.

I can read!!!!

Brian was so excited today when he got home from school. We waited and waited for everyone to listen. He read for his sight words for all of us. He is so funny he takes his time and reads them slowly to make sure that everyone hears them.

I am so proud of him!! I can not believe that my baby is reading and writing. Where has the time gone, I had a really hard time with him going to Kindergarten he was my errand partner and I still have a half day to go out with him but I have no idea how I will manage next year when he is in all day.
I think that his teacher has a lot to do with why he loves school!! If I was in kindergarten I would want her to be my teacher, her room is so fun!!! She made it like a home away from home for the kids. I am so glad that my children have been blessed with good teachers, and that they love to learn. What else good I ask for??(a lot really but I am good for now Ü

Celebrating Finally...

We finally got to celebrate Gramma's Birthday!! After Misty had her surgery and then it was Christmas and then it was New Years!!! Busy Busy, Valerie and I did treat her to lunch at Cafe Rio when her friends came down from Colorado. We had a great time with no little kids, Aubrie was devastated that we went without her. (she will get over it)
Today we all got together and had a Yummy dinner and then we opened presents. She got a really cute Brighton's Bracelet from us girls and then the kids got her a flower pot that had really cute butterflies and ladybugs on it. Valerie also put a bag of Foot stuff so the kids went to town on giving Gramma a foot party. She would only let them put the spray on, She was a little kidded out.

After that Valerie made yummy pookizes and we had cookie dough ice cream to go with them. Brian was thrilled to have whipped cream (his favorite).
We had a great night!!! I am so glad that my kids have the relationship with there gramma like I had when I was a kid!! Some of my greatest memories are the small ones that me and my grandparents did together. They love her and love going to Granmma's house even if there is nothing to do. It is a blessing that she was able to move so close to my family.

After New Years Celebration.....

Around 12:15 Bert and Rhonda called me and told me that I had to come over to Glenn's house with them. They would not take no for an answer. I was quickly changing, when Rhonda started pounding on my door.
We went to Glenn's house for a while and then ended back at Rhonda's house. We sat on her couch and laughed and laughed. We were just slap happy Ü I think but we were up until 3 am then I finally had to call it a night.
Thanks to them for making my New Years memorable once again!!!!

Dumont Dunes for New Years...

So while I was enjoying some quiet time on New Years the kids were living it up in the Dunes!! Emile and Amanda took some pictures for me!! They had a great time in the sand. Brian loves riding his quad around camp and is always down for a rhino ride with anyone who will take him. Aubrie was most excited that her buddy was there Gavin she loves that kid!! They came home and had lots of stories to tell. It was another great trip for the kids!! Oh and Dane did not get hurt wish I could say the same for the Rhino.
