Bar B Que with the Otero's

Memorial weekend was a great one that started off with a nice relaxing day on Saturday that ended with a much deserved pedicure for me Rhonda while the guys and kids hung out together!!
Then on Memorial day we had a Bar B Que at the Otero's house! We had a really good time enjoying the great weather!! We hung outside and had a great time watching the kids and smelling YUMMY food that Bert was cooking!

We ate these in minutes and did not even share with the kids! Actually the only kid who wanted one was Andrew the rest of the kids could have cared less!!! We enjoyed our steaks and had great conversation. It was a great way to celebrate the three day weekend!

Rowan!!

This weekend Dane's cousin Alan and his wife Debbie came to stay with us on their way to a Bowling Tournament. I was excited because this would be my first time meeting their son Rowan!!
He was a cutie who had Aubrie wrapped around his finger ! She helped fed him and played with him every chance she could!

Like most babies he was unsure of the big scary guy!!!

He like Brian and his Monster Truck collection, they played with them quite a bit!!
We had a good time and are so glad that they stopped by!!! It was weird and nice to have a baby in the house again!!

Chess

The kids have found a new game to play and they are playing it every chance they get!! I think it is so funny to watch them play they are so serious and think for a long time before they make a move! Dane loves that they love to play one of his favorite games!

When I got home from work I asked Dane where the kids were and he told me that he did not know they were in their rooms doing something! I walked in and found them on the phone with Goose playing Chess! And they were not even fighting!!!

After the ice cream the kids wanted to play outside so of course we let them since soon it will be to HOT to play outside! They asked if they could get wet and it was fine too!! Then Dane came home and they were SOAKED!! He was giving them showers with the hose!!!

Brian was done and had to lay on the sidewalk to warm up!! It was a great wet time !

After school today Rhonda and I took the kids to have a treat at MacDonald's! They had a nice cool treat of Ice cream and even the moms enjoyed a treat that looked WAY better on the picture!!

Field Day

Today was field day for the kids! I had to work so I missed Aubrie's. I did get off in time in go and watch Brian have a great time! Field day is so different then we were kids now it is all water games and no ribbons, I remember field day was all about track and field activities and getting ribbons that I still have. I loved field day and so do my kids!!
I surprised Brian by popping a water balloon on his back! They played a lot of games and got SOAKING wet and had a great time!!!

Brian and his friend Conner had a great time going after each other with the water they were so wet that their shoes were sloshy when they walked!

After all the games they all got to have a Popsicle and play on the playground!!
Brian had to show me his skills on the bar!! It was a fun afternoon and he was excited to tell his dad all about it!

Sweet Treat!!

It was hot today and I thought after school I should take the kids for and Ice cream cone and really I wanted to try the new Strawberry lemonade. It was an adventure for sure that consisted of 30 minutes at McDonald's for a crappy drink and three happy kids!!

Team Party!

The Mudhens had their team party today! Dane took Brian to the party because I had to work, so I met up with them later! Just in time to see him get his trophy, which he loves!!

The boys had a great time filled with water balloons being thrown at the coach from the balcony then the coach got smart and got the hose and won that one quick!! They had a great time and so did the parents!!

Carol one of the moms on the team made the hit of the party cake pops! They were gone in minutes she also made each boy a collage of pictures from the season! I love it and can not wait to hang it in Brian's room!!
I am so glad that Brian got on a team where for the most part all the boys liked each other and the coach promoted more then winning!! It was a great time for the whole family and now we are starting the countdown to fall ball!!

School Carnival

For the first time in a couple of years the weather was right to attend the school carnival the last time we were here we almost blew away!!
We went over and got Paige and headed to the school to meet up with Rhonda and the boys!
Before we were able to play a game Brian found Kylie! She said to her mom that she was going to marry Brian because he was so smart in class. She is the cutest little girl, she also goes to church with him! It was funny to hear her dad tell Brian not to get any idea and Brian just looked at him.

We found the boys and they were off to win all sorts of lovely prizes!! Rhonda and I had a great time talking and trying to find the kids every so often they were enjoying the games and only came by to show us their prizes!!

Then the kids saw the game that was at the end of the field then SCORE one of the moms brought over water balloons and the kids were on a mission to get wet!! They completed their mission and used up all the water balloons before the rest of the kids realized what was going on at the end of the black top!!

Soon after we were ready to go we both has errands to run and decided to run them together! We enjoyed a crazy lunch of fabulous pizza at Costco and a little shopping after!!

Happy Birthday Andrew!!

After Brian's game we were off to celebrate Andrew's 9th birthday! I can not believe that he is that old already! Aubrie and him have been buddies since we all became friends in 2003!! They have grown up together which I love.

It was a good time with Good food and great company. I am glad that we were able to be there for yet another Andrew Birthday!


We also got to met the newest addition to Rhonda's family, her niece Cierra. Of course Aubrie was all over her all night she loves babies. She is a quiet little cutie !!!

The end of the Season!!!

Brian last game is today!! I am so sad that it is coming to an end I never liked Baseball until my son got so excited! It was a nice thing to know that twice a week we were all together as a family cheering Brian and the Mudhens on!!!

I know that Aubrie will miss this little boy so much. She played with him for almost all the games and loved every minute of it. Ryan and his family are moving to the East Coast so we will not be on the same team next year and I think Aubrie was sad about that. Tonight the family gave Aubrie a movie gift certificate and a Thank you card for bring his Baseball Babysitter so they could watch RJ play!!! She was stoked and already has a movie in mind.


Brian has grown to LOVE this game! He has improved so much in the last two months that I am amazed every time I watch him and so is Dane! He has done it all this season hit a home run, caught a pop fly, RBI's and even struck out but never once did he say that he did not like it! He was always talking about his next game! Well unfortunately the Mudhens lost this one but they all had a great time playing and are excited for their party tomorrow!! It was a great season and now I have a true Baseball Lover on my hands!

Thanks to Gramma who not only made it to EVERY game (well almost she was so sick she had to cancel one time) and almost EVERY practice. She I have to say was Brian's number one fan who cheered him on and has turned him on to the Yankees!!

Mudhens 10-4-1

almost the end....

Tonight was a late game and the Mudhens have not done well with the late ones! They had a really rough start and were down 7-1 for almost the whole game! In the last inning the found their grove and got 5 runs which is the most they can get in a inning. Brian had a great hit to third base but the kid caught it and he was out!! They lost this one and were not even phased by the loss!!
Aunt Valerie came to the game and cheered on Brian with us! It was the only game that Grandma did not come too but she was sick. Brian was really bummed that she was not there but he lite up when he saw Aunt Valerie! Only one more game left on Saturday hopefully we can end the season on the a good note!!

100000 fifth graders.....

Today I got to go with Aubrie class to the fifth grade 51's game!! The class was split into groups for each parent to watch over!! I had no idea that there was going to be a LOT of other schools there!! The stands were filled to the brim with all the fifth graders from all over the city!!
I love that Aubrie doesn't mind that I go with her and she is not embarrassed to hang out with me!
We got to the game right before it started and I had a nice surprise Gina. one of Aubrie's friends moms was their and we got to sit by her and Kaitlyn!! We stayed for 5 innings and then it was time to load the kids on the bus!
I had a great time hanging out with Aubrie and am glad that I have gotten to go to everyone of her field trips with her since Kindergarten!!!

Little league day at the 51's

Today was Little League day at the 51's game! Brian and Dane got tickets and were both looking forward to go to a real baseball game! It was Brian's first game and he was so excited and really excited that it was a boy thing!!

Dane forgot the camera so I snapped a picture of Brian before he went to the game!! He wore his team shirt and took his glove in case he had to catch a foul ball!
They had a great time and Brian was excited that Noah, Logan and Conner were there to hang out with him! He was even more excited that Coach Ruben had invited them to come and sit in the shade by him! Brian said it was too hot to sit in the sun so it was so nice to sit the shade!!
He can not wait to go to another game with his dad and maybe next time he can catch a foul ball!!

Mudhens!!!

There is only three games left and I am really not looking forward to not having a two games to go to!! I have to say that I love Baseball now, I never did before but now watching Brian it has become one of my favorite sports!! He looks so cute in his uniform and loves it even when they lose he is still excited about playing the next game!!
This game was a good one and we had a lot to cheer about they won 8-1 and they played so good!! I have to say that we have had a really good season!!
After the game Brian was awarded the game ball, even though it was for the last game since the coach had said that he made a huge mistake and gave Brian the game ball today for his 3 rbi's that he got at the last game!! Brian was thrilled and he came home and placed the ball on his shelf so he can see it everyday!!!

Dinner with the Staples

My Uncle Larry and Aunt Ann have been wanting to go to dinner with all of us for a while and it finally worked out!!! We meet them at Cafe Rio, Valerie, Grandma and me ant the kids!! I was wondering how the kids would act towards them because the last time we saw them was well at Karly's wedding but Brian was not there! Well I have to say that Aubrie fell in love with Larry!! I think that he reminded her of her PAPA who she adored! Her relationship with PAPA was close and they loved each other more then anyone two could!! Aubrie was talking and sharing stories with them and was next to Larry the whole time!!
After dinner Larry asked if we wanted to get some frozen yogurt! Of course my kids jumped on that one and even rode with Larry and Ann to the yogurt shop!!

It was a really fun time and we will have to do it again!!
The way home Aubrie was talking about she was going to start packing to go stay with them and how she wants to go to lake Powell and water ski with them! It was all I heard until I finally made her go to bed!!!
