Mudhens win another one!!!

Another Saturday another Baseball game!!! I am kinda sad that our Baseball season is coming to an end soon!! It is really the highlight of our week to watch these boys play! They are such a better team from when they started!!
Almost every game Brian has gotten a hit and is now almost always playing second or third base!!! Today he played catcher again!! He says that he likes it better then playing second base! He looks so little in all that gear!! He did a great job and once again the Mudhens won 8-5!!!

Date with Grandma

A couple of days ago Brian brought home another certificate to get a free hamburger at In and Out!! First thing he said was that he had to call Grandma and tell her it was date time again!! Tonight Grandma had called to see if we wanted to come over and watch Tron with her. Aubrie was not excited to see that movie so Brian said he wanted to go!! I told her that he was hungry and that she should take him to In and Out!!
We dropped him off after running some errands, the whole time we heard how STARVING he was and he just wanted to go to Grandmas already!! When we dropped him he jumped out of the car and ran to her front door!!!
Aubrie and I had a nice quiet night eating YUMMY grilled ham and mozzarella cheese sandwiches and watching a whole LOT of coverage about the Royal Wedding!!!

William and Kate

Today the Royals had another wedding!! I was too little to remember the last one with Princess Di but I have to admit I was excited to see this one!! The whole week before the wedding every where you turned their was something on TV about these two!!!
William and Kate not only consumed Britain but also America! I think it is great that there was something HAPPY that was the major news story!!
I had to work early so I did not get up to watch it but after I dropped off the kids I came home to see the famous balcony kiss!! It was so cute and William thrilled everyone when he leaned over to kiss her again!! The crowd cheered and so did I!!
I then watched hours of coverage of the wedding !! It was time to get the kids before I knew it!! These two were looked so in LOVE and HAPPY!!! My favorite part was when she walked up the aisle and William saw her for the first time and told her that she looked beautiful!! It was a true princess marring her prince!!!

Pop fly!!!

Mudhens had a game tonight it was a game of firsts for Brian! The team started out OK but them it was all down hill from there!! They were not on as a team and they were having a ROUGH time the whole game!! The boys were striking out right away and getting 3 outs with their first 3 batters.
When it was Brian's turn to bat he got up there and hit the second pitch. He had a great base line hit and almost made it to first but he got out. He also caught his first pop fly tonight!! He was on third base and the kid hit one in the air right to Brian. He put his glove up and CAUGHT it!! He had to look at his glove to see if he had but he did and man was Dad proud of him! They have been working so hard on that at the park!! He made his dad one proud dad tonight!!!
Brian also got to play a new position tonight!! He has never been catcher and tonight he got to be the catcher!! I was worried but Dane and Jason said that he was going to be fine and he was!!! He looked so grown up in the all the gear, He had the biggest smile on his face the whole time!!
He had his usual fan club and tonight the Dugans came to watch with us!!

The Mudhens lost tonight but it was still a good game for Brian!!!

Take your kid to work....

Since I can not take the kids to my job, this year Aubrie got to go to work with my Mom at Cannerilli Middle School. My mom is the Deans secretary, she always has lovely stories about her work. So I was wondering what Aubrie would experience today. She reported that she had a great time helping Grandma file and do office work. She also got to have Capriottis for lunch which happens to be her favorite sandwich shop. She is already planning her day next year where she wants to go to Aunt Valerie school to help her!!!
Grandma came and picked her up on Wednesday because it would be easier for her to get to work on time!! Aubrie was thrilled and could not wait, she has wanted to participate in this since she was in first grade. She has gone to school with my mom in the summer time to help and was excited to be there when the kids were in school.
Brian on the other hand was bummed that he had to go to school while Aubrie got to miss the day. So last night Dane and I were talking and decided that since Dane is laid off right now that Brian could stay home with him, and he would think of something fun for them to do together. We did not tell Brian that he got to stay home until he woke up this morning in a panic that he had only 10 minutes to get ready for school. He rushed into my room and told Dane that he was going to be late, Dane looked at him and said you are not going to day. Needless to say he was excited, when I called him they were watching Nascar on TV and he was laying on the couch. Dane took him to lunch at the Four Kegs and then rented the movie Gulliver's Travels. All in all he had a great relaxing day with Dad!!!

Dirt what dirt

After a long practice session at the park today, Brian was out of the shower and ready to watch some cartoons. When Dane came in and asked them the kids if they wanted to go outside and play with Andrew and Evan for a while before bed. Aubrie was too tired and did not go, but Brain jumped at the chance to go outside.
When he came in I told him he was filthily and had to take another shower. He looked at me with a serious face and said I am not dirty I do not want to take another shower. He argued with me until I made him look in the mirror. He was all shades of BROWN, so he got in the shower again even though he did not want to.

I am not ready

Tonight Aubrie set some papers on my desk for me to sign for her! The first one was a slip to excuse her from school on Thursday for go to work with your parent day. She gets to go to work with my mom. So I signed it and was on to the next one.............
I was not ready for what it said. It was a permission form for Sex education. Oh my gosh I almost fell out of my chair and she was like what is that paper for. I said nothing trying not to freak out, which I was doing in my head.
Are you serious already she is in 5th grade. Wasn't I like in High school when I went to this class. OK so not really it was middle school in Colorado but I was so much older or at least that is how I remember it. I can not believe that I have to let her go or do I??? I have to return the paper by the end of this week to give her permission.
First thought was no way she is not going but then I was thinking that all the kids would be talking about it and I know how well they do not listen. Then she will be getting her info from kids who only got bits and pieces from the lecture.
I know that this day was coming but this soon oh where did the time go and can we please go back to when I did not have to worry about this..........

Happy Easter

Looks like the Easter Bunny came this year!!
As we were sitting in Brian's room waiting for Dane to wake up, we were talking and Aubrie said "did you hide the eggs in the backyard again" I looked at her and she quickly corrected herself and said " I mean the Easter Bunny" Really she is really that old all ready to where she knows I acted like I did not know what she was talking about.

After digging through their baskets they were ready to get the eggs!!! We let them outside and it was on. Brian was the first one to find all his eggs and he was opening them all up to see what was inside!! Then he found his favorite egg the MONEY egg!!

Aubrie found the rest of hers and then we realized that Brian had found both of the MONEY eggs so he right away handed one to Aubrie. They opened them up and of course the Easter bunny had not counted right and hers was 25 cents short. Great she was probably thinking that her mom did not even know how to count I mean the Easter Bunny!!!

They came in and sorted through everything and then it was time to get ready for church. They looked so nice when Grandma came to get them. While they were gone I got ready for dinner.

They all came for dinner and we had a nice time talking and enjoying each other company!! It was a great way to finish out Spring Break and they were both passed out quickly!!

Special Delivery!!!

Every year Granny Easter Bunny sends the kids a package for Easter. They always want to open it early but I always make them wait!! So this morning I let them open it and they dug right in throwing the packing paper everywhere!!

Inside were two Easter baskets for the kids!! They had lots of little gifts for the kids and they were excited to open everything but it was time to see what the Easter Bunny had brought.

Dane had taken all the kids to the park so Rhonda and I decided that we would go and run some errands to get everything we needed for Easter. When we got home the kids were playing the Wii at Rhonda's and the boys were outside hanging out. We joined them and realized that it had been a LONG time since we had all hung out with just the four of us.
We made sure the kids had dinner and then we decided that Robertos breakfast burros sounded great for dinner!! We enjoyed every bite of them and before we knew it the time was Midnight. I went and got the kids and man they all looked so tired and were ready to come home and go to bed!! It was quite a long day for them!! But they had a great time and so did the adults!!

Golden Spoon

I thought that since all of were together and it was a nice warm day that we should stop and get a little cold treat!! We stopped at Golden Spoon and got Yummy frozen yogurt the kids were super excited because I let them get topping. I never let them get toppings. Aubrie chose Gummy bears and Brian chose Cotton Candy pieces. We sat outside and enjoy every last bite except for Brian who never finishes his ice cream!!!

Springs Preserve

Rhonda and I decided to take the kids to Springs Preserve since they had a new exhibit. We invited the Grandmas and Aunt Valerie to come with us. I thought since it was not too hot yet and it was the last official day of Spring Break it would be something fun to do!!!


The kids were super excited to take Grandma to see all the stuff since she has not been there. We started out in the in the first building were the In to the Dark was. There was a lot fun stuff for the kids to do the ran around for a while and experienced all they could.

They were on to the outside area where they played with the blocks and the round rock that spins and of course they had to play with the water and get wet because it was so HOTT not really but that is Aubrie's favorite thing to say everyday!!!


After we all done with the outside playground we went and saw the animals that there. We saw the Fox that was sleeping in the shade, the mouse thing and even the big spider. We also saw the gopher running around in the maze of holes that I have never seen before. Then it was on the Flash Flood room where it simulates a flood in the desert. The kids loved this and wanted to do it again, but we were all so hungry that we decided to stop and eat lunch. We found a spot that had a bench for the adults and a place for the kids that was shaded. They all ate all of their lunch and were ready to go to the playground.


They played for a while and then we headed over to the Garden Center and the recycle building. They had this cute Easter thing up and we all took pictures with it.

We walked around the Garden Center only because we could not find the recycle building which was right in front of us the whole time we were looking!! They were setting up for a wedding in the Garden so we only walked around for a minute and of course we made the kids pose for a picture with the roses!!!

As were walking back to leave we saw the Recycle Building. If it was a snake it would have bit us!!
The kids ran around and played in the car and we saw a REALLY GROSS compost toilet that Rhonda and I were completely grossed by and then we were all tired and ready to go home!!! It was a long day but a really fun time!!!

A play with Grandma!!

Singing in the Rain was the play this year that Aubrie and Gramma went to see for her birthday!! Gramma came to pick her up and she was ready! Aubrie had been talking about this for days and was so excited!! She picked out a cute outfit and was out to meet Gramma when she pulled up. Of course I did not get a picture because Gramma would not let me take one!!
Aubrie got to pick where they were having dinner and she chose to try a new place, Create. It is a hamburger place that she has wanted to try for a while. She ordered a hamburger with American cheese and egg on it. Very interesting combo I think but she loved it!!! Then they were off to the play.
I love this movie and have watched it with the kids before and they both liked it.
When she got home the next day she was talking about her favorite characters and how much she loved Lina Lamont and her funny voice!!! I am so glad that she liked it and is exited to see Hairspray next year for her birthday!!

Spring Breaks is AWESOME!!!

Four days into Spring Break and my kids are loving every single minute of it!!
Today I had to work again so the kids were waiting for Andrew and Evan to come over to get them. I told them at 12 they needed to eat lunch then they could go and get Paige who they had wanted to play with all week and today Holly said YES!!!
Before that Evan Lexi and Andrew were ready to play!! They played outside until I got home and then it was time for Aubrie to get ready to go with Grandma to dinner and a play with was her birthday present!!!
The rest of the kids keep on playing, they were playing so hard that Rhonda and I decided to get McDonald's for dinner and let them have a picnic in the front yard!! Brian was excited to do this especially since Aubrie got to go with Gramma. They played with each other until it was dark, when Brian came in he watched some TV and asked me if he could go to bed.

Andrew is not in this picture because he thought that it was weird to eat in the doorway!!so he ate in the garage for a minute then he moved to the front with the kids!!

My kids were ready to play when they got up, since I was at work they had to wait until the boys and Lexi came out to play. They got outside about 11 and went strong until the boys went to Karate.
Brian told me that they had the BEST time ever playing with each other and he loves Spring Break!!!

Spring Break

Yesterday was the first day of Spring Break and what a busy fun day it was!! This week Aubrie has the fun task of babysitting her little brother! I am perfectly fine with this due to the fact that Rhonda is home all day and she is pretty good at taking care of herself!!!
This morning I left for work and they were passed out and did not even hear me say goodbye! Around 9 I called to check on them and see what they were having for breakfast!! They were ready to play but they had to wait for the boys to come and get them!!
I think they came and got them around 10:30!! I called Rhonda around lunch time and they told her that they had pizza to eat and to have Aubrie make it for them, she told Aubrie this and just as calm as can be she says " we are locked out so I can not make lunch". I am thinking how did this happen and she is never ever watching him again. But thank goodness for Rhonda who came and opened the garage!! so they could get their lunch!!



When I got home the kids were SOAKING wet and were having a great time !! So I let them play until it got dark!! Thanks Rhonda for the pictures and for helping Aubrie get in the house!!

I can not believe that it time to dye eggs again, this year is flying by so fast!!
This year we had Gavin, Em and Chuck come with has been a tradition for a long time and a long long time ago we used to drive to Overton to dye eggs with the Notos!! So this year they came to join us and they even brought Ashley boy friend Nolan who fit in right away, but it is still crazy to me that she is old enough to drive let alone have a boyfriend...... and there is Megan who is going to be a JV cheerleader!! They both look so Old which makes me feel old. These girls where so little when I first met them at my wedding 12 years ago. I wish that they lived closer and that we were not all so busy!!! I miss hanging out the the Notos girls!!
So we had 6 dozens eggs ready to dye and they were done very quickly!! Brian and Gavin just wanted to play and shot the Nerf guns with Ashley who got into it!! They had a great time running around the house shooting each other. Soon it was time for them to go and it was time for the Dugans and the Robinettes to eat dinner!! We got some pizza and had a great night!! Thanks to everyone that came!!

Flip N Out

The Notos joined us in Vegas today ! We were trying to think of things to do and Donna said that the girls had wanted to go to Flip N Out! They got to the house at 10 and we loaded into the car and went to do some jumping. When we got there we were the only ones in the whole place besides the workers!!

They had an hour to jump but they were surprised that it was so exhausting!! Every couple of minutes we had one of the kids coming to take a break, we kept reminding them that they only had an hour and get to jumping!!

We tired to get some pictures but the could not all jump at the same time so they all ended up really blurry!!!
Brian had to have a quarter for the machine and he came over with this mustache on his face!! He wore it for like 5 minutes then he threw it away!!! What a waste!

They were all so tired by the end of the hour they were done! So it was time to pick where we were going to have lunch! Ashley had made the comment that if Donna and I picked we would be going to Cafe Rio or Mayacos well Mayacos it is!!

After lunch they went to do some shopping and we went home to boil some more eggs since teh girls and ashley boyfriend were going to join us!!

Tonight was the last celebration for Aubrie's Birthday!! She got to pick what we ate at Grammas house for dinner!! She picked Pork chops, Sour cream potatoes and Fiesta salad and I got her a silk pie for dessert.

She was still smiles as she took the tissue out then it was a look shot right at Aunt Valerie. Gramma and I had no idea what was in the bag. Valerie was laughing, Aubrie was not.

11 cans of TUNA in the bag!!! So funny for the whole year Valerie said that she was going to get Aubrie tuna for her birthday and she did!!
Which you can see it was not what Aubrie was expecting for a gift!!

After a good laugh Aubrie got to open her real gifts and then it time to go home!!
Brian got to stay with Gramma and spend the night since it is Spring break tomorrow!!
