Aubrie Babysitting

Aubrie had another babysitting job tonight for Holly. They were super excited to do toes! Aubrie had all of her nail stuff ready to go. She really enjoys babysitting and Paige is pretty much the only kid that she babysits so for now they are having lots of fun and Aubrie loves making the money. She does not spend it she saves it and is very frugal with it. I think that she has only spent maybe 20 dollars of all the money she has made.

Tonight they did glitter nail polish and she also did Paige's finger nails. Needless to say when she got home she was exhausted and headed straight to bed.

Fury Party

Tonight was the first of many "Firsts" for Aubrie.

Tonight she had her first cheer party at Coach Holly's House.

All the girls were ready to hang 

and get to know each other.

They started with many things to eat 

then they painted and signed the banner for the first game.

At the end the girls all got their uniforms, shoes, pom poms and bows.

I hope that she loves it enjoys herself.

Since Brian has baseball I want her to have her own thing!!!

First Doctor Visit

Today was Dane's first Doctors appointment. When we got there

they took him in the XRay room.

Then they took him into the exam room.

Only Dane would know nurses in every 

office. His doctor's head nurse was another

doctors nurse at another office that he went to.

So they were talking and it was calming for Dane who was 

a little WORRIED!!!

We were both unsure about the doctor he had seemed so 

HARSH in the hospital.

When he came in he handed Dane this copy of his XRay 

he went over it screw by screw!

I for one was having pains in my knee!!!

After the appointment we both 

really like the doc and are felling really good about him.

Dane can not walk on it for 3 months and has to keep it 

elevated and we SIT down as much as possible!

We will see how that goes!

We have two weeks till we come back.

Finally we got to meet

Tonight Dane had some visitors and we got to meet this cute little girl! Taurie Washington came over to see us.
She was the first baby who did not jump or cry when Dane talked to her. She was not troubled at all by him, she was in love with Aubrie who was sharing the feeling!!! The whole time these two were playing and talking to each other! It was nice to have some company to chat with! In the last couple of days we have so many people call and stop by to say hi or to see if we need anything. We are truly lucky to have so many friends and family that are so close by and are so thoughtful!

Big Dreams

Barry brought his brothers Harley over today and of course 

Brian was outside 

and had to climb up and sit on it!

This is the closet to a Harley that he will get

for a LONG time!!

But he has already told me that he wants one!!

Good looking team!!! This is the giants, sadly missing one coach who was so BUMMED that he could not be there to be in this picture!!! But there is always next season, I do not think he thought he would like it as much as he did !!

Released

While I was at work today Dane was released from the hospital! Thank goodness Butcher was there to take him home and even bring him to CVS so I could get his scripts filled.
He has strict instructions on what he can do and what he can not do!
He can sit on his BUTT all day and walk on crutches but he is to have his leg elevated and be sitting most of the day.
He was happy to reunite with his lazy boy and that is where is going to be spending LOTS of time!
He is in a lot of pain and is just a joy to be around at the moment! But hopefully he will get better everyday! I took vacation starting Wednesday so I will be home to tend to him, funny how that works I took the week off to get some stuff done after spring break now looks like I have a lot on my plate!!!

Game Three

Another game today!!
This game was our first game at Avairy Park.
Which is our favorite park!!
They have great snow cones and the park is so close to the field.
Brian got home from school and was ready to go!!!
He was hopeful that Dane would be able to come but he was not...
The team they were playing was the Red Sox.
The boys were playing great but it was a low scoring game!!
This was the giants first tie of the season!

Sugery

I got to the hospital EARLY this morning and was there right in time. They got Dane all moved and in the pre op at exactly 645am. I was told that I could wait in the waiting room or have the doctor call me when it was done. They said that it would take about 2 hours. They took me to the waiting room and told me that they would call me and that I could watch the board to see where he was at all times.
I was reading a book when Tosh called and we decided to meet at Em's bar to have some breakfast since I was hungry and all the vending machine had that even looked good was Red Vines. I was glad to get out and have some yummy food and some good conversation with Em and Tosh.
I was back to the hospital in a short time and Dane was still in surgery so I had a minute to read then the board changed and it said that he was in the post op room. I called and asked when I could see him and they said that since they were so busy that it was going to be a while till they got him a room. I waited for about an hour then they told me that I could go back to post op with him, ( even though this was not allowed the nurses were really nice and probably had heard enough from Dane).
After an hour and an half  he finally got his room and they came in and talked to him about how to work his pain machine and then it was time for him to get some sleep. He was in and out for a while then it was time to change the bandages and at that time he snapped a picture and proceeded to send it to everyone. Really not something that I would want to share.
He will probably be in here for a least 2 days and the most 3 days.

Update on Dane

FINALLY today after being in the hospital since last night saw a doctor. And the verdict is....
a tibia plateau fracture, it is not his knee it is the part of the leg that all of your weight is put when you walk, stand or pretty much do anything standing.
We are scheduled for surgery at 730 am tomorrow and the doctor is hoping that there is no ACL damage or torn muscles but will not know for sure until he goes in.
He also said that Danes break is a very RARE break, most people who break that leg do so in the front and of course Dane not ever being able to do anything the easy way broke it in the back which is like a 5 in 100 chance that it will break that way. Oh if it were not for bad luck I think that he would have no luck at all.

Well the girls got to dry the cars and help with the advertising!

Aubrie was having so much fun that she volunteered to stay the whole time.

I stayed for  a while then it was time to head to the hospital to hear 

the verdict.

The girls did a great job and raised almost 800 dollars so 

now they have most of their money for the season.

Giants Game

This morning came SO fast! I was up and ready to pick everyone up! Grandma had the kids ready for their activities and came with us to both!!
First was Brian's game! I had let the coach know before hand that Dane was not going to be able to coach anymore due to his injury. Brian was determined to get a BIG hit for his dad! When he got up to plate he was ready and in  a zone!! There was four bad balls then coach Mike came up to throw his three balls.
On the second Brian hit the ball right down the third base line, it was a long ball and he rounded the bases like he was on fire!! HOMERUN!!!!!
He was grinning ear to ear the whole time!!! He got another hit second time up to bring 1 player home!! It was a great game and he could not wait to call Dane and tell him!!!
Giants 1-1

Again.....

Not in a REAALLLYY long time have I gotten a phone call like the one I got earlier this evening. It was Dane who sounded weird, he told me that he was going to the hospital because he could not walk. I did not believe him for a minute and was so irritated that he chose tonight to pull a hahaha joke. So when he called me back and asked what hospital he could go to. I was shocked and really really upset, ten thousand things went through my mind and the more I thought the more I got can we say MAD!!!
Met Dane at the hospital and we proceeded to wait in the waiting room for about 30 minutes then we were moved to a little room where there was a few other people. We waited and waited and waited then he was taken back into the x-ray room. When he got back he told me that the tech told him that it looked like he shattered his knee. Then the ER doctor came over to talk to him and told him that he was going to need surgery and he had to be admitted to the hospital. Dane tried to talk him out of being admitted saying that he would just come back and they could do the surgery in a couple of days. I mean really I told him no you are staying and he was not HAPPY so that made two of us.
They admitted him quickly and got him hooked up to his pain machine and he was so tired and wanted to get some sleep. So I left him and headed back home to get everything ready for tomorrow that could not be any busier!! We have a baseball game and a cheer leading car wash!

Danes sweets

The joke in the family is that Dane loves to tell people 

that he is not a Sweets Guys.

But me and the kids know different!!!

We hear all the time what do you have for dessert?

And most of the time there is nothing 

so we all have to hear about how when he wants sweets

they are not there and when he doesn't they are.

So my mom decided that since he installed a security door for her 

that she would buy him enough little Debbie snacks to fill the this box.

That is about 20 boxes of little desserts for him.

She covered the box and put Danes Sweets on the sides

She gave it too him tonight and he already opened up two

boxes.

So he can say that he is not a sweets guy but 

we all know the truth!!!

Giants first game!

They had their first game tonight and I do not know who was more excited Dane or Brian! They were out the door and at the field by 515 even though the game started at 6.
Dane was all over it! He was the third base coach and was cheering all the kids on and giving them all directions! He was in the out field with them helping them and giving them praise every chance he got!
Brian was excited to and when he got to bat he got a nice base hit and ran without stopping to first base!
He got to third base and  I watched him and Dane laughing and talking the whole time he was there!
Brain was excited that he got to play catcher but was kinda bummed that he did not get to pitch but I know that he will be up first next game.
Even though the boys did not win this one they had a great time and by the end they were in the groove and made some really good plays!
It is going to be a great season for both of the boys!

National Junior Honor Society!

Aubrie was induced into the National Junior Society today! It was after school and since her and Grandma where already there, Grandma was our stand in! I am so proud of her! She has gotten striaght A's since 1st grade and is just amazing me all the time with how much she loves school and how much she expects out of herself! It has started to pay off, this year not only is she in 4 advanced classes she is also thriving in all of her other classes! She is always on Parent Link to make sure that she has good grades!

Even better was the fact that her friend Lauren was also inducted! She has made friends with Lauren who is the same way about school and since her dad is the science teacher at the school they get to hang out before and after school everyday! They eat together and do homework together almost everyday and now they will get to do the meetings after school together!
I hope that Aubrie knows how proud we are of her and how hard she tries! I am consistently amazed by her and the great choices she makes everyday!

A day late.....

I was all over doing our Frappe that we do every year for St patty's day, but this year we did them one day late! Last night they were not in the mood so tonight after dinner we made this wonderful drink in a late celebration of all that is green! And of course they were so yummy.! I hope that they do not care that it was late but as they sucked them down I was sure that they did not care to much!

Surprise Vistor!

When we went over to Barry s today before we went to the store we picked up Gavin! He came to the store with us and since we were shopping for lunch he helped pick it out and we were out in a flash! When we got home the boys were in the room playing with the Nerf guns! I could hear them laughing and having a ball together!
Soon Gavin came out and told me that he needed to eat because he was SO hungry! I made them lunch and they were done quickly and were back to playing! It was a nice surprise to have him over for a while today!

Opening Cereomonies

Opening ceremonies for baseball were this morning! Since the coach was not able to make it today Dane was the stand in coach for him! We got there and Dane got all the boys together and they all waited together to go out on the field. Finally after what seemed like FOREVER it was time for the boys to go out on the field!

The boys and coaches looked great in their uniforms! They got to make the parade walk to meet the mayor and shake hands with her! They learned all the rules of the game and took the Little League pledge! It was over right as the weather started to change! Right when we got home the rain started and the wind was blowing hard! Thank goodness that we missed that and got to enjoy the ceremonies! I think that this season will be so much better then fall ball and even better since Dane gets to help out and I can tell that he will LOVE helping out with the boys!

He finally broke his flip phone 

and super glue would not fix it!

So we went and got him a new one!

He has been on it ever since,

I never ever want to hear anything

He is still messing with it when it 

is charging! 

Put the phone down not likely any time soon!

Traps

 Brian's class had a leprechaun party today ! Well they tried to catch the crazy buggers but they did not succeeded! When they returned from specials the class room was a mess and he was not caught in any of the traps! But he left them all a gold coin as a teaser that they did not catch him even with all the traps! He did leave a glitter trail that was on the desks most of the kids thought it was so neat that he sprinkled it every where with the eceptions of some of the girls who did not like that it was it was all over there stuff!

 The kids went crazy when they saw all the crazy things then it was time to workbook about Ireland and leprechauns. I have not been able to help this year as much as other years but it was fun to be able to today to celebrate St Patrick's day with this group of kids!

Cheer practice!

Tonight Aubrie had her first Cheer practice! We dropped Brian off at scouts and we were one the way to the park! Holly was prepared to teach and they started right away! She worked with the girls on the first two cheers then they started to do lifts! Of course Aubrie is a base not a flyer but when you are tall as a grown adult you will not be a flyer!

The hour and an half went by so fast and before we knew it, the practice was over! Aubrie had a great time and can not wait to go to the next practice! I can not believe that I am a mom of cheerleader! Really never did I ever think that my kids would LOVE cheer as much as she does!

Good job Brian!

Once again Brian did a great job with his grades this semester!! He brought home his report card today and it was all A & B's! He also got these awards! He has gotten the Exemplary Effort and Citizenship one every semester since first grade I guess he has gotten the A B honor roll one too!!! So proud of him and how hard he tries in school!

Gavin's 5th

Two parties in one day!! After we left Cierra's party were on our way to Gavin and Chuck party at the Dugans. This is another one that I can not believe how old he is turning! It seems like just yesterday he came to our house for game nights in his car seat! 

He has a new obsession and that is Camo! He is always in camo from head to toe, from his underwear to his shoes are all Camo!

When we got there the party had already started and before long it was time for the Pinata! The army tank was the perfect one for him! It got knocked off before Brian got to try so BRAVE chuck held it and let Brian swing away! He busted it open and all the kids hit the deck!!

 The cakes were also perfect with the Camo theme!

 Chuck blew his out quick but the wind got to Gavin's so we had to do it again! Finally he got it and they all dug in. The party was fun and we had a great time with the group but I was so tired that we called it an early night and were in bed not soon after!!

Cierra's 1st

I can not believe that this little girl is already one!! It seems like we were just at Jenni's Baby shower. The kids were super excited to go to this one! They always have a great time at the Milroys house for parties! And of course it was a BLAST!! The ladies did a GREAT job on the cake and the cupcakes but they are always out doing the last cake and this one was perfect!

The kids had a great time with each other as always! They got to play with bubbles and chalk! They had a great time just hanging out then they started to play Musical chairs and were having so much fun that when it was time to go they did not want to leave! Happy Birthday to Cierra!!!
