Game three......

The Mudhens had their third game tonight!!
I volunteered to work the snack bar at this game because it was our night to have a parent work the stand. I had no idea what to expect, I was a little bit bummed because I thought that I would miss the game but there was a counter with a window looking right out on the field that they were playing on!!
Andrew, Evan, Uncle Robb, Gramma and our family were all there to cheer them on!! The boys were looking tired and were not their normal self's!! But they were having a great time!
Brian was excited to see that Ms Messerli came to cheer them on!! I spent a good portion of the game chatting with Messerli!! We had a great time yelling for the team!!

They score at the end of the game was 1-1. The Mudhens are now 2-1-0!

7th Foot!!!

Aubrie was not running laps for a while but she came home with her 7th today!! She has now run 35 miles !! WOW is all I have to say! She said that she wants to get ten before the year is over and I am sure that she will!!

Monster Jam

Monster Jam 2011 has finally got here! As soon as the game was over we raced home and got ready to go. We met Chuck, Gavin,Em, Kristy, Jacob and Lee in the parking lot to have dinner and hang out a little bit before the event began. The kids ran around and had a good time then it was time to go in and get our seats.


We were ready the National anthem was sung and the planes flew over and then it was on!! The races were OK but we were all waiting for the free style.

The Freestyle did not disappoint at all!! Nitro Cirus was amazing this year he did a back flip and landed it!!! Madusa also did a flip and then did another one but the time was up so it did not count towards her total!! It was a great Freestyle competition and we enjoyed all the cars!!!

This is where Gavin was for a lot of the night which is funny because he used to be so afraid of Dane!! Not tonight they were Buddies the whole night, they were having so much fun! Then Gavin got tired and moved to Em!!



We had a great time but the kids were so tired that they were ready to go home and go to bed!! We left as they were doing the encore but that just meant that we got out quick and were on the our way home!

First hit!!!

Mudhens had a game this afternoon. We let Brian chose if he wanted to go to the Pitts at Monster Jam or to his game. He chose his game!!


The game was going good and Brian had the Otero Boys, Gramma, Mom, Dad and Aubrie to cheer him on. He got up to bat and had 4 balls and 2 strikes. Reuben got up to the mound and threw a horrible pitch and I was thinking in my head oh great another no hitter!! Then he hit the ball and stood there for a minute and we were all yelling at him to run and he took off and made it to first base!!! The smile on his face was GREAT to see!!! He was on cloud nine the rest of the game and was "so glad he chose his game"!!!
The Mudhens won their second game 8-1!!!!

Extreme Thing 2011

Before the game today Dane took the kids to the see the finished Extreme thing that he had built. Dane has never been able to go and watch this since the first year he built it!!! We are always going out of town or we have something else that day. This year was no different!! We had a game and Monster Jam!! But he still likes to take the kids down and show the finished ramp.

He let them climb to the top of the ramp again and they said it was so cold that they were ready to come down.

Danes friend one of the BMX riders was there and took some pictures with them. Then they were on their way home to get warm and get ready for the game!!

1st for Aubrie

So tonight the phone rang and I had no idea who it was. Aubrie said that she would answer it. Then she got up and walked out of the room. This is weird because if you know Aubrie when she is watching TV she does not even listen to you, let alone leave the room.
I could hear he talking and laughing in her room. I called her to come and have dinner and she told her friend that she would call her back. When she came in the kitchen I asked her who was that? It was her friend Mia, it was her first phone call to "chat". Oh no it is starting, she had one little boy who was calling her in 3rd grade but Dane put a stop to that when he went to school and asked Aubrie to introduce him to the boy who was calling. He never ever called her back.
Soon I will be fighting with her about needing to use the phone and she will roll her eyes and tell me that I just don't get it.......

Mudhens!!!

The day has finally came!! Brain has his first game tonight and he is ready! I am more nervous I think then he is. He was bugging me all day after school about what time is it, do I get dressed now, how about now. Of course the weather was not cooperating with us at all it was CHILLY!!!
Uncle Rob came to the house a little bit early to hang out and then it was time to load up.

We got to the park and found our seats!! Brian had the biggest cheering section!! Besides me, Dane, Aubrie, Uncle Rob, Gramma, Aunt Valerie, Chuck, Em, Gavin and even Andrew got to come to the game!! They were doing really good as the game started.
It was time for Brian to bat and I was so nervous for him, hoping that he would get a hit.


He did not, but he was all smiles as he left the plate! So I guess he was not worried about it!! He played right field all game and was smiling so big you could see it from the bleachers!!! The Mudhens won their first game 8-0 and the team was so excited!! They did not even notice that it was really cold. So cold in fact that Aunt Valerie was in a huge thick blanket the whole game.

Coconut

Last week I got a coconut in my Bountiful Basket and wondered what will I do with this thing!! Dane was excited to see it and said that he would like to open it with the kids! Well it sat on the counter for a long while and then one night out of the blue he said lets go and crack open our coconut!!

First he used the drill to make a hole to pour the coconut water out of! There was more then I thought there would be in that little coconut!

Dane then put the glass to his mouth and said that it was OK and that we had to take a drink. Well Aubrie was the first one and her face said it all it was GROSS! She was wiping her tongue with her shirt and trying not to gag. Then Brian took a drink and did the same thing well then I decided that I was not taking a drink. After watching them there was no way that I was even going to smell that.

After trying a hack saw and having no luck Dane grabbed his hatchet and whacked until it opened!! It was pretty funny watching him being bet by a coconut!! Finally there was success and we had fresh coconut!! We all tried and it was a better reaction then the drink! It really was good to bad that we really had nothing to do with it so we ended getting rid of most of it!! Quite the family coconut experience!

Cafe Rio

After a LONG time of saying that he did not like Cafe Rio and always having to get him McDonald's to bring in the restaurant. After all that we did today Brian decided that he was going to have a salad with the girls at Cafe Rio!! He ate almost all of the small salad that we got him!! He says that it is not his favorite but he will eat there!!! I know that Gramma and Valerie are smiling and saying in their heads that they were right now that we all like it!!

Showing Grandpa!!

The biggest Baseball Fan I know!!! Brian was so happy that we got to show Grandpa Stucki his baseball uniform!! I think that there is no need to write a story their SMILES say it all!!

Scaffold.....

It is that time of year again when Dane has the Extreme thing to build!!! He had to leave early in the morning to head to the park to build some Scaffold!!!
He was bummed that he had to miss Opening day but we went and visited him at the Park!! They were "hard at work" taking a break!! Dane took the kids to the top of the ramp and it was a CLIMB for them!!! Must be easier on a bike!!


It was so cold that we did not stay that long we decided that we would let them get back to that hard work!!

Opening Day!!!!

today is the Opening Day of the Cheyenne Little league. Brian looked so cute in his uniform that we had to buy the bottom half at walmart 10 minutes before we were suppose to be there. It was a crazy morning that seemed like it would not come together but when we got there and he was in his uniform it all made it worth it!!

His team is the Mudhens and they are the best looking team I have ever seen!
Brian has a friend from school that is on his team, and he is also Danes friend kid!!

The kids all got in groups by team and lined the field and one by one they were introduced to the crowd!! Brian had a smile that was ear to ear and it did not go away for a while after!! Then it was time to take pictures with the team and individuals!! It was a fun morning that made Brian even more excited to play some ball....

Sonic!!

Baseball has brought many new things into our daily life but one of the kids favorite.....

We pick up Gramma and we all watch Brian practice no matter the weather !!! Then we head to sonic and let the kids get a slushy. Brian has been so hungry sometimes that he does not want a drink he wants a hamburger and he has it finished before we leave the parking lot!!
It is something that we all look forward to every Friday night.

To the office

As we all sat around eating tonight Brian says to me in a Quiet voice I got sent to the Office today! I said you better not have and then he was quiet. Aubrie chimed that he would be in so much trouble.
I was thinking to myself that I can not believe this and why did I not get a call from the school. And how was I going to punish him....
Then he looked at me and smiled and said that he went to the office today to see the Principal to get candy from her for a reward for his high test scores on fast forward. He then laughed and said got ya mom!!
I was trying not to laugh and told him that he was lucky that was the reason he was in the principals office!!

Fun times

Today since Emilie Lisa and I decided that since we all have Fridays off that we should do something together!! I was excited to have some Girl time!! So we met at Emilies house and started with some Pedi's at our usual place!!
We all picked a similiar color of raspberry!!! Great minds think alike that is for sure!!
Then we went to Chilis and had a great lunch!! It is so nice to have a group of friends that you can not see for a while and then when you do it is like no time has passed at all!! We were just missing one part of the group Ms Tosh but she has to work on Fridays!!!

Fifth Graders get everything!

It is OFFICIAL I have a fifth grader who is the Queen of the school!! Aubrie and her class all have to wear these shirts every Friday! Each class got to pick a color and every ones name from their class in on the shirt!! Brian thinks that fifth graders get everything and that it is not fair!! I told him he will not feel that way when he is a fifth grader!!
Aubrie was so excited that Purple was their color !!! I can not believe that next year I will have a middle school child.......

Reward from Dad!!

Of course as soon as Dad heard about the awards he came home and ran into the house in a panic!! Telling the kids to hurry and put their shoes on and get in the car!! They were rushing around trying to find their shoes , huh I think that I tell them all the time to put things where they go.
A couple of minutes later they return with a dozen doughnuts form Dunkin Doughnuts!! Dad was so proud that he took them and let them pick out what ever they wanted!!

Special Drink!!

Oh how I love this drink! And what a better reason to make it then it is St Patrick's day!! My mom used to make this drink for us when we were kids and my kids loved it as much as I did!!
Cheers to a great day of accomplishment and NO PINCHING!!

Awards..

When I picked the kids up today they were so excited to show me what Awards they received today at school!!
Nice that there was not assembly but at least they have not stopped giving out awards!!
Aubrie's were no surprise she has gotten on the honor roll every year since she has been given letter grades!! And I was glad to see that she was at school when she said she was! HaHa
We could not keep Aubrie away from school that is for sure! She loves everything about going even the homework I do not even hear any complaints now when she has to the homework. Now if we could just get her to feel the same way about the dishes!

Brian had quite the stack of awards today!! I was proud of him and I think that this may be the most the most he has received !! He was most excited about the honor roll and could not wait to show his dad!! I think that it kinda bothered Aubrie that her little Brother got more then her but it is OK for him to have some glory once in a while!

We are both so proud of the kids and how well they do in school!!!

St Patty's

Today is St Patricks day and also Grumpy's birthday!!!
Brian was so excited that while going through his drawers the night before we found him a GREEN shirt that he could wear!! He was really worried about getting pinched!! I am not a big fan of this holiday due to the fact that I HATE being pinched it will get me going like no other!!
Aubrie had no green so thank goodness that Holly painted their faces and hands to have some green!!

It was quite a GREEN day today and they whole gang was in on the fun!!

Please

Today I had the ever fun task of cleaning Brian room!! I thought it would be a perfect time to have him try on his clothes to see what I needed to get him for the summer!!
We came to the end of the shirt pile and he found this one and I was like "trash" he said no mom it fits I said no it does not and he proceeded to put it on. It was so little on him that it was almost a belly shower. He was bummed then I reminded him that it was because he is growing and there is nothing we can do but buy him some more tank tops.
When he took the shirt off it was a size 4, he is now in a 7-8!! Just a little small!!

Sorry.....

At Grandmas house tonight Aubrie wanted to play the game that I REALLY REALLY do not like!! So i opted to sit this one out but I sat close for all the wonderful emotions that this game creates!!!
Everyone picked their color and it was time to start.
And the games started out like this

Five minutes later as Valerie took Brian's piece and he began to cry about it I remembered why I do not like this game!!
The kids had a good time when they finally got all their pieces out of the beginning spot it was not that long till Brian won. Only after confessing his hate of the game!!

Gavins Birthday party!

Happy Birthday Gavin!!!
Today we got to celebrate this little cutie's birthday!! We are usually in AZ with Dad Jerry for his birthday but this year we got to go to Gavins.
I was so excited to go it had been WAY to long since all the girls had gotten together and I was ready for some girl time!! All the girls were there along with a bunch of kids and hubbies!!

Emilie did a great job with everything!gavin had picked a Toy Story Theme that was all around!! There was so much food that was all really good and even though Em was worried that it was not enough it was!!! The kids loved the bouncy house and just running around together being silly. Then it was cake time and they were ready!!


The party was a great time and I am so glad that we got to see everyone that we had not seen in a long time!!
