One week down.....

Today I thought that I should do something fun for Brian since he was doing so good in school. So i called Rhonda and asked her if her and Evan wanted to go the library and a yummy lunch at Taco Bell. Brian was excited to go and hang out with Evan. At the Library the boys were having so fun looking at books and telling each other funny things. We checked out our books and headed to Taco Bell, both boys ate all their food and were not ready to stop hanging out. When we got home Brian ran over and asked Evan to play. They were having such a good time I felt bad telling them that they had to clean up because Brian had to go to school. I have never had two little boys clean up so fast and they put EVERYTHING where it went. Brian and I loaded up in the car and he headed to Kindergarten.
I came home and wondered what to do with myself then it was time to go and pick up Brian. I waited to get him and as he walked out of his class his teacher told me that Brian was fabulous and that he was so Respectful. Oh that made me feel so good!!
Brian and Aubrie were told that if Brian got 5 pennies and Aubrie got all her String Ray bucks they could pick their favorite dinner. Brian picked Shane's chicken fingers of course and of course Aubrie picked Cafe Rio. They were both so excited to eat that they both ate all their dinner. After dinner we had a game and movie night since Dad was hunting with Uncle Robb we stayed up late and had a great time!!!
I am so glad that I have two kids who love school and they are very "spectful" as Brian tells everyone. I just wish that it was not going so FAST!!!

Brian's first day of School!!!!

This one was really hard for me!!
Brian has been my errand buddy forever, i am so sad that he is leaving me!! Last night I was talking to him and I said can you just stay with me and not go to school. He said why?? I said who is going to run errands with me and he said mom call Rhonda she is your friend. We had a good laugh about that one.
So today he was ready, we dropped Aubrie off and we came home. Dane told him that he wanted to take him to the Cycle shop to get him something. We went to the shop and Brian got his first pair of riding boots and some gloves so he would be more protected when he rides. After the store we came home and Dane let him ride his dirt bike up and down the street!!!
After his ride we ate lunch, Brian's favorite Mickey Mouse chicken nuggets and chips. He watched a little TV and then it was time to get ready.
He got dressed and we got his backpack and off to school we went. His teacher came out and let us parents come in to help the kids find their seats. Dane found Brian's and he sat down. The teacher told the kids we are going to sing a song with the parents and then we are going to say goodbye.

After the song Brian hugged us and sat down he looked a little unsure as we left I had to hold back tears as we left...
I am so proud of him he will do well in school. I know that this is part of growing up I just wish it had not come so fast.

Aubrie's first day of 4th grade...

I can not believe that my little girl is going to fourth grade. Where had the time gone??? I remember her first day of kindergarten like it was yesterday.

She wanted a special breakfast so I made her some cinnamon rolls and she was excited that it was not cereal. She was ready to go early and keep asking me when it was time to go. Finally it was time and we went outside and took a couple of pictures. Dane took today off so he could go to school with them today. We all loaded up in the truck and headed to school. She right away found a friend and took off. We found her spot and she found Kaitlyn and Morgan her really good friends, they are both in her class. So they waited for the bell to ring and when it did they went inside to start another year at school.

The end of summer...

Sundays are always so fun since the kids get to go to Grammas for the day. They go to church and then we have a family dinner. This week Gramma made Aubrie favorite Frito Pie. That is what we call it no matter what Gramma says. The kids were all ready for church and had to stop for a picture because i love the suit!!!!

After they left i made a cake for everyone since it was Aunt Valerie's first day and the kids and it was Grammas first day with the all the kids back to school. It was a yellow cake with Chocolate frosting, I had a great idea to make a school house on the top with one of my cookies cutters!! So I got out my red gel and sprinkles and went to town, i thought how cute well i thought so. When i pulled the cookie cutter it was not so cute!!!! So I threw some candy hearts on the top and called it good.
At my moms house we were able to eat outside and enjoy the unusually nice weather. We all really enjoyed the entertainment of the Robinette children. They were being dramatic, Brian was enjoying the wagon and having Aunt Valerie push and pull him back and forth. Then it was cake time it was yummy and the kids enjoyed the candy hearts.

It was another great day at Grammas. The perfect end to the summer...

Enjoy the last day of summer....

After our morning errands we came home and sat around doing pretty much nothing. Then Dad came home and said come outside and ride your bikes. The kids jumped on that one and bolted outside.
It was a fun time of "watch this mom" watch this dad". Aubrie was doing tricks on her scooter and Brian was popping wheelies on the sidewalk. They where watching for cars for each other so they could race down the driveway. After a little while they were both tired and were ready for dinner. They both picked cereal which was one of my favorites when i was a kid.
Then we all watched Race to Witch Mountain. It was a really good movie Brian almost sat through the whole thing. It was a fun night and the kids were ready for bed I think because they got to go to grandmas in the morning!!!

Lowes school bus....

Every two weeks comes very quick. We had another Lowes Build and Grow today, the kids were excited about this one it was a school bus. We went and picked up Gramma and headed over to Lowes. We found the Oteros and Lexi and we started building they were almost done and we were having problems something was wrong with Brian's kit so we had to get a new one and then we were off. They did not put any of the stickers on because they love to paint their projects so we held off on that.

After we were done there we ran some errands and then we had Aubrie's favorite Cafe Rio for lunch Brian was not impressed and had chips for lunch. I know healthy healthy is all I care about Ü

Meet the teachers....

Today we headed over to the school to meet the kids teachers. I was nervous but they both seemed so excited. We went to Aubrie's classroom first, she was so excited because her best friend Kaitlyn is in her class. And then we got there she found out that they got to pick their seats, oh my goodness!!! She picked to sit across from Kaitlyn.
After we headed to Brian's room, I could tell that he got a little nervous when we walked in. i want to cry and turn around but we waited to meet his teacher. Who was very nice and made Brian feel very comfortable. The classroom is like nothing I have ever seen before!!! There are no desks, there are bunch of old kitchen tables with fun mismatching chairs. For centers she has V Smile games for the kids to play and a big Lego table for them to play with. Aubrie was jealous and says that she wants to come back to Kindergarten. We signed in and left, Brian seemed so excited and had to call my mom, sister and Dad right away!!!
I then took them to McDonald's for breakfast and we headed to get all their school supplies. We had a great day and they are both excited for Monday!

Aubrie got her ears pierced!!

t
This morning we were going to finally get some back to school shopping done. But of course life never goes the way you plan it. I decided before we headed out I would wash some dishes, Aubrie was drying and we both noticed a Huge pile of water coming out of both sides of the cabinet under the sink. I opened the cabinet and there was a pond in the cabinet. I called Dane who called his brother and Robb came over to see what the problem was. All the water was coming out of the garbage disposal. Apparently they go bad, who knew???
So Robb and Brian stayed and fixed that and My mom, sister, Aubrie and me went shopping. We headed to the mall. We hit JcPennys and found lots of clothes for Aubrie and Brian. Then I remembered that Aubrie had wanted to get her ears pierced for her birthday but we had not been to the mall since then. So we headed over to Claire's and we picked out the earrings and she got into the seat. She had no idea what to expect, they did both the ears at one time. They drew the dots and got the guns. They counted to three and it was done!!
She cried for a moment and then had to call her Granny Goose. Both Grammas are so excited that her get to buy earrings for Christmas!!
She loves them and can not wait to change them.

A fort to remember......

Today the kids were so BORED!!! They had played all the games and watched all the TV shows that they could. They always beg me to make a fort I always say no but I was tired of hearing them beg so I finally said OK just be quiet while you do it.
So after about an hour they finally came out and asked for lunch. As I was walking down the hall I saw this wonderful thing taking over Brian's bedroom!!!!!
They had built rooms and tunnels and they were so proud of it!!!
After lunch they went back in and played for a while longer!! We had to keep it up so Dad could see it after work. It was definitely not as fun to take it down as it was to build it!!!

Lowes take five...

Today was another Build and Grow at Lowes. We were all really slow to get going since we were still on vacation mode. But the kids were so excited to build the power boat. So we headed over to pick up gramma. We walked in and it was a mad house i think our little Lowes secret is out. There were kids and parents everywhere I sent the kids over to save a spot to work. I got their kits and we started to build. I was so tired that I could not compute the instructions so luckily the Oteros were there and I just watched them. We got the boats built and I was ready to go home. We dropped Gramma off and we headed home for a lazy day. Dane was getting the fights but everyone was so tired that it was a small one. Thank goodness!!!!

The last day....

Our last day we woke up early to find more seashells. Gavin, Em and Chuck joined us. We found a lot more shells and saw some more seals.

The day started out as a nice day but then the wind started and then it started kicking up sand. We spent the whole day hiding in trailers. Every time we would go outside we would have sand in our mouth and every where else. The kids were OK though they all loaded into our trailer and played games and watched movies. I think the reason they were all in there was because i had left my salt water taffy out and they found it.

Finally the wind calmed down but by that time it was time to load up and get the stuff ready for the morning. The kids had fun running around in the holes that had been created by the guys digging. We all enjoyed our last night and headed to bed to wake up in the morning for the long drive home!!!
The kids are already talking about next year as for me I can live without the sand for a while since I am still finding it in pockets and shoes!!!!

Leftovers and Family ride

We enjoyed the Beach this morning and most of all the kids it was a beautiful day. Aubrie went skin boarding and the other kids played around in the water. Aubrie told me after we got home that when she was swimming she was out a little ways and that she looked over and she was really close to a seal. Like she could have reached her hand out and touched it. Gavin and Bryn were so cute this year they spent a good portion on Brian's dirt bike acting like they were going on rides. It reminded me a lot of Brian and Brook, the first couple of years.

Last year we decided to have a Leftover Party where we all get the food we have still and make a big table of food and every one has lunch together. We had a great assortment this year, bacon rolled hot dogs, yummy buffalo chicken dip, raviolis and cheese and crackers. It was so much fun again this year I think we will be doing it every year from now on.

After lunch we all got ready for a family rhino ride. Dane and I rode together and Brian went with Chuck and Emilie, Aubrie rode with Jon and Amanda. This trip helped me realize that I really do not like Rhino rides in the Dunes i am big wimp and do not like not being in control of my surroundings. We all stopped and took some pictures and then Jon and Dane started jumping down the dune. All the kids lined up and watched some riders take some jumps and then we headed back to camp for our last night to hang out at the camp fire, well hang out late that is.

Day at the Pier

A couple of years ago we all started going to the Pier. We go to all the shops and then pick somewhere to eat lunch. We all went this year even Jon. The kids all wore their shirts that Em had made for them. We had a really good time and a really good lucnh the calamari was good and dane really liked the clam chowder.

We spent a good portion of the day at the pier then we headed back to the beach. As we were going back to the beach. Dane took us to the second entrance so we could take the long way down the beach. As we were waiting to go through the Guard shack there was a pirate out of a restuarnt so me and Brian hopped out of the truck and took a picture ( since he loves them). The kids ran around and at the end of the night we had a great sunset. We all rushed down and took some pictures and enjoy the rest of our night.
