BBQ time

When we got home the Oteros asked us if we wanted to hang out and BBQ with them! Not have to make dinner sure we are there! The kids all hung and ran around while the parents sat around and chatted about all that had happened lately! With the kids in all of their stuff we have not been able to hang out as much as we used to! Life has a funny way of changing things that you would never ever think would change! It is nice though that we can hang out and still enjoy each others company! Once again this is the only picture that I got the whole night not to quick with the camera lately!

After the last game we were off to have the team party. We went to place where each boy got to make their own pizza and even though it took forever for all the kids to make and eat their pizzas we had a great time!
The kids got their trophies and coach mike had something special to say to each boy!
It was a great way to end a great season!

Best Cheerleader!

After the game the coach gave Dane a trophy for THE BEST CHEERLEADER!! In the beginning this bothered Dane when the coach would tell him that he was a great cheerleader but as we got to know Coach Mike we soon realized he was serious and he and the boys really LOVED all of the cheering dane did! When he talked to those boys they listened and when they were up to bat they were always looking to him for direction or for praise! The boys all loved him and he really enjoyed his Cheer-Coach job this season!!!

Pitching the last game!

The last game of the season and what a GREAT season it has been!! Even though they did not win all their games, these boys had a great time!! They all played so well this last game and were ready to show all of us parents how good they have become!
Brian was thrilled that he got to pitch the last game and even struck some boys out!
We are all so sad that it is over and we have almost 3 months before we start it all over! Next season Brian will be moving up to Triple A and the rules change big time so we will be doing fall ball even though we said that we would never again, but he has  to know the rules and all the changes! So lets hope that it is a better experience and Dane will be healed and can coach on the field not only from behind the plate!!

Almost the last game and Brian was thrilled that he had the biggest cheering section!! Kyle and Jessi came and so did Em, Chuck and Gavin! It was a good game and Brian got a great hit and the whole team played really well!!
They won it 5-4 great job boys! I am so sad that baseball is coming to an end! It has become one of our favorite things to do as a family! Even Aubrie sometimes has fun and even cheers for her brother when he is not looking!!

Bagels with my Cheerleader

This morning Aubrie and I were out the door super early to get some errands done before cheer!! We decided to stop after Kohls and have a YUMMY bagel for breakfast!
We got them and sat in the car chatting eating! It was a great start to packed day of stuff!!

Take your child or someone elses to work

Today was take your child to work day well at my job you are not allowed to take your kids so Aunt Valerie and Grandma took the kids with them!
Aubrie was so excited to go into Valerie classroom and help her that when she got home she said that she wants to now be a teacher! She can not wait to go next year!
Brian got to go with Grandma and he was super excited! They had a whole day of fun planned with the kids that were coming! He got to meet Laurens brother, got the "special" treatment from her dad and got to eat out for breakfast and lunch. As you can see he also got to make his own name tag with of course was all about Monster trucks. He just like Aubrie is already making plans to go back next year!
It was  a fun day for both of them!

Giants VS Dodgers

Brian was thrilled that he got to pitch tonight and he did  a GREAT job!! He struck 2 people out and got some really good pitches!
It was another exciting game and the boys were really playing well!!! It was down to the wire and the Dodgers pulled a late hit and took the game 7-8. It was funny that none of the boys cared the were all just happy that they had played so well!!!

Dinner with the Dugans

Tonight Em called and asked if

we wanted to come over for dinner. 

Nothing fancy she said just dinner and some 

fun.

Well of course it was 

YUMMY and of course

 the kids had a great time!

It was a little warm but we 

sat outside and enjoyed the 

cooler evening!

Chuck turned on the 

sprinklers and Dane and the kids 

had a great time getting 

wet! No need for 

towels they were dry 

in minutes!

Last birthday celebration

This is the last!! Aubrie has had more birthday celebrations then ever before this year!! Goose and Grumpy had to have a little party for her and let her open their gifts and of course have some cake!! It has been a very fun weekend, full of sports and fun!

Fury Cheer......

Aubrie was excited to have such a big cheering section for herself at the game! We all watched her do her routines and she was smiles the whole time!! Raquel on the other hand was so BORED and  was ready to go home! It was a long day for her with all the watching and not that much playing! Before we knew it was time to go home and we were all ready to get out of the heat but I know that the kids were glad that they got to show Goose and Grumpy what they have been doing for the last couple of months!

Giants VS the Yankees

Today was another game against Brian's favorite real team but our least favorite to play!! The boys thanks to their coach leave a lot to be desired in the sports man ship department!!
It was a good game, Brian was bummed that he did not get a hit but he was good on the mound. He was excited to show off his skills for Grumpy and Goose. He wanted to show Grumpy a great hit , even with some great playing on the Giants we lost, only by one though!!

Getting ready again

Aubrie hates curlers!! I had to buy new ones and we are hoping that they work as good or better then the other ones!!! Fingers crossed that they work.....
Aubrie has her fingers crossed that she can sleep with all these things in her hair!!!

Cousin time

Janice and Jerry came into town and brought Raquel! She got here and was looking for the kids but they were both in school, so she was so bored. Then it was time to go and get Brian from school and she loves to hide in the car and jump out and surprise the kids in the car. Brian already knew that she was coming but he still played along with it and she was thrilled to surprise the kids!
When we got home she dragged Brian into his room and told him that she wanted to play because she had been so BORED!

They played some cards and some more cards. Brian finally escaped and came out to sit for a minute and have some Goose and Grumpy time. Raquel was not happy with that and came right out and told him lets go. I know that they are both counting the minutes till Aubrie gets home!!

My favorite got engaged!

Nephew that is !!! I am so excited for him I have not met her yet but I am sure that she has to be great if he is ready to take the next HUGE step. I love this boy and am so glad that he has met the one for him!!!

Tooth Fairy

Such a sad day for me today!

Aubrie lost a tooth and I told her to make sure 

that she puts it under her pillow not in her drawer or on her desk.

Because the tooth fairy never knows where you hide it and doesn't ever

find your teeth!

She just looked at me and said

"Mom I know that you are the Tooth Fairy"

NO I AM NOT!!!

"Yeah Mom you are and I have know for a long time"

What are you talking about??? I am not the tooth fairy

"OK mom but one night you woke me up when you were taking the tooth and 

I never said anything because I knew before that"

OK well you are wrong 

and with that I shut  her door and walked away!

Really I know that she is 12 

but that is sad to me 

this means that she is really becoming a young person and not a kid

I will not have the Santa talk I told Dane!

He just laughed at me and said I am sure that she already knows that one too.

At that point I was done with the conversation and went to my 

room to pout !!!

I am so sad that she knows things like this but 

I am so glad that she has not told her brother and is letting him have those things

for as long as she did!

Gaints VS the Royals

What a beautiful night to be out and watching our favorite little league team! Tonight was a fun game because their was a lot of players on the other team that Brian knew and some of the parents were cheering for Brian too!!
He had a great HOMERUN and was just really enjoying the game tonight! I am so glad that two seasons ago Cindi talked me into signing Brian up! He has really excelled in this game! He loves playing every position and he has a true gift for the sport(I know that it sounds like a typical mom but believe me I knew nothing about the sport and he has improved 100 fold) . We have parents tell us all the time that he has come so far and how he is a pleasure to watch! I am so happy for him that he has that one thing that he can do well and LOVE it!! He is already talking about fall ball and how he wants to sign up even though he had a BAD season last fall!! He wants to move up and play AAA!
Not only does he love it Dane and I love that we have a family activity to go to and even though most nights I am exhuasted and fall into bed there is not a single other thing that I would rather be doing with my kids!
Another great game and the Giants won this one  8-2
