Happy Birthday Amanda!!!

Last year Amanda started a WONDERFUL thing, all the moms leave the Beach, the kids and the Big kids and we head out for a pedi and a lunch for the girls.
This year we headed out and got our pedis which is a funny story i am not to impressed with pedis but we all sat down and started to soak. Tosh is on side and Em is on the other we are talking and then tosh and I have our started, the girl that is doing mine is doing a really good job. i was thinking if this was like this every time I would get these more often!!! Well I look and the lady that was doing Tosh's feet is done with Tosh and on to Em. My lady is still clipping and scrubbing. Em was done with hers and I was still being worked on, then another guy came over to finish mine.
Then it was off to lunch Amanda picked a very interesting spot this year. Our waitress was something else!! I really wanted the fish and chips that were all over the front of this restaurant, oh they were out. We all ended up getting the same thing and we really enjoyed it!!!
Can't wait for next year!! Happy Birthday Amanda!!!

Beach ride, sand and seals....

So this year was the first time that kids had their Quads when we were in Pismo so the first day we let them ride around camp and stuff but today Dane took them out on the Beach it was so cute to see them riding behind Dane who was in the rhino!!! They took off down the beach and we all watched them. They loved it and were so excited to tell all of how it was!!!


Then it was back to the Beach!!! Dane flew a kite down by the water that was until the ranger pulled up and told us that we could not fly the kite because of the Birds. OK so we were done with the kite but the kids helped John build a sand castle and just splashing around in the water.



Then after they got through we all headed to camp so they could play in the sand they were excited because Amanda had brought new sand toys. Emilie and Amanda were both looking for a marker at that point to mark the toys since their is some "ghetto" tagging of toys to quote em. so the whole time we were all checking to see who the toy belonged to!haha that was the joke all week long!!!! So next year I am going to mark all of ours with Neon orange spray paint!!! Ü
So this year we had a very close visit of a seal of course it was behind the rope so we could not get really close which was fine for me but all the kids thought this was so neat!!! We watched him for a while then we headed off for dinner.

Looking for Crabs and Riding

As soon as they could ask the kids were at the Ocean, even though the water is way too cold for me. They got their swimsuits on and ran down to the water. They were on a mission to find crabs for Deano to use while he was fishing!!! They were also having fun at the same time. Brian has become really brave this year and is all about the water. Aubrie is a fish who has wanted to be in the Ocean every year!!!
They all had a great time at the water but soon it was time for their first official Beach ride!!!! Well not really beach ride but they were tearing it up around the middle of camp which is huge they have plenty of room to ride!! Everyone was done but Brian kept going until his thumbs started to hurt plus it was almost dinner time.

So he parked it and we had a yummy dinner as a Family and enjoyed the sunset. Then we all sat around the fire for a while then it was Movie and bedtime!!! The kids love the trailer we rent because they have bunk beds!!!

Pismo here we come!!!

This morning at 2 am I was awakened to help Dane load the load and the trailer. I was exhausted because I had been up since 12 am making sure the house was clean and we that I had packed everything. We woke the kids up and headed over to Emilie and Chucks house to hit the road. We left at exactly 4:30 which made Dane extremely happy!!!
We were headed out of town when Danes phone rings and it is Craig saying that we just passed him, I thought where I did not see his truck, then I realized that he was working. So we thought how random that we would pass him this early. We drove to Baker and met up with The Mazlo family we got out and who come pullin in next to us Craig, the kids were excited to see him. We tried to talk him into coming with us but he was on his way to work.

So we headed on our long trip to Pismo.
We finally arrived to the Beach, we checked in at the guard shack and headed off down the beach. Dane and I kept our eyes open for our prime spot on the ocean front. We were at the end of the beach and we found it the perfect spot. Dane ran his truck up the soft sand until we got stuck and we waited for the rest of the group to come down the beach.

Our trailer was dropped off and it was official unpack and get organized time. With everything set up i went outside to enjoy the beach!! Then Emilie said oh I have something for the kids and pulled out Pismo Beach 2009 shirts for all the kids!! they were excited and they all put them on and the endless stream of pictures had began!!!

Happy 30th birthday Dane!!!

Today Dane turned 30!! He tried his hardest to tell the kids he was turning 29 but they did not believe him for a minute!! He was giving me such a hard time when I turned 30 that we had to pay him back. He asked the kids if he made fun of me and Aubrie said yes. She then told us a story that made us both crack up!!!!
She was telling us about one night we went to dinner and I had found a piece of Saran wrap in my food and Dane had said to the waiter" my OLD lady" bit into this and showed him the Saran wrap. We all had a good laugh because that is not a dig on my age but a lovely thing that Dane calls me instead of wife. Gotta love the kids!!
All day Dane kept trying to take his 30 year old nap as he called it, but it never seemed to work out between phone calls and the kids he was lucky to sit down for a minute!! He wanted the kids to rub him but he ended up tickling them instead, So much for the nap!!

Brian and I decided to make a cake for Dane, I think that Brian wanted to help just do he could lick the batter from the bowl!!!

We had invited some people over for dessert for his party. Uncle Robb brought some Deer steaks and the boys cooked them for dinner. Bert and the boys joined us for dinner and then Chuck, Emilie, Gavin. Craig and Tondra joined us for a little bit. All in all Dane had a great birthday!!!

I can not believe that I have been with Dane since he was 18, it is crazy that we are both in our thirties with 2 kids where has the time gone????? Happy Birthday OLD man we love you!!

Lowes take Four.....

Today was another Build and Grow at Lowes!! This time the kids made helicopters, which they were both so excited to make. We picked up gramma and headed over to Lowes!! Thank goodness Gramma was there to help! There was a lot of pieces and both kids said that we could have used Dad!!
They finished their helicopters and we headed over to the library for some books, then we headed over to do some more errands and then we headed home to get ready for daddy 30th birthday.
They are excited for the next one with is a powerboat!!!

Brians Blanket

When Brian was born my Mom and Gramma made him a blanket that was so cute. It was yellow and blue with ties. He has used it since he was a newborn, it has weathered many storms with Brian. As you can see he has loved it to pieces!!!! For Christmas two years ago they made him a replacement one but that has yet to feel the love, it is folded nicely in the closet. Brian always says that he will use the new one but when it is bed time he always changes his mind.
It was so bad that I would find pieces of it all over the house so we decided that we should cut the batting off and just have the top piece left. So we have done it and now he has a little sheet instead of a blanket but it is at his side every night before bed. My mom say she had no idea that it would have been so loved by Brian, she is so glad that she made it for him and I think so is he!!

Cousins!!

Cousin Alan and his wife Debbie were in town this week from Arizona. We are convinced they brought the heat wave with them. In fact we know it Ü
They came over and we all went out and had a nice dinner!! We ate at Cabo Wabo!! Robb also met us there. It was fun to get to spend time with them. They came back to the house and the kids entertained them again for a while and then they had to go.
On Saturday Dane took the kids over to Robb's for some swimming which was short lived because it started to pour, yes rain in Vegas i know it is a shock!!!Brian also showed his dad his swimming skills and took off his floaties and swam with the big boys for the first time. Then the kids got to spend the night. And like always he took to the max of FUN for the kids he took them to Chucky Cheese and then they went to the movie in the park. They saw Kitt Kitridge. They once again had a great night as for us the old married couple we stayed at home made dinner and watched Bride Wars which I convinced Dane it was NOT a chick flick and he liked it but he knows it was a chick flick!!!
It was a really b nice weekend!! Filled with family and friends!!

Yummy tamales!! and Swimming

Tonight our family friend Sandy gave us a great treat.... TAMALES!!!
She makes them every year for Christmas and had some in her freezer so she brought them for us to enjoy!! She cooked cheese crisps and beans and killer salsa that were so good!! It was so nice of her to bring all this yummy food down to share with us. The kids were so excited to have her here Brian really wanted her to come and see him at swimming lessons.
So on Friday my Mom and Sandy came to watch him. He was so excited but he kept saying he was freezing which is so funny because it was the start of a severe heat watch. Oh we wish we could have been freezing it was so hott!!!

I am so glad that my mom has friends like Sandy she is so much fun and does very thoughtful things for my mom!! Every year since Brian passed her and her husband come down and take her out on the anniversary. I am so thankful for them.

Fight night and Girls Night

Tonight we had our monthly fight night. But this time it was different the girls decided to go out for dinner and leave the kids and the guys at home.
Everyone showed up and the ladies headed out, the dads faces were so funny as we pulled out of the driveway they all wanted to know how long we were going to be gone!!!
We went to On the Border and had yummy Mexican food. It was so much fun we decided to do it every time, we will see how that one goes but it sounds good. We have to go again because two of the ladies were missing, Rhonda and Tosh. So we have at least one night for sure!!!
When we got back everyone had behaved themselves and we were able to catch the last fights, some where more excited then others. The kids were all running around I do not know if they even realized we were gone!!!! Brian and Kendall were having so much fun together so I had to take this picture!!!
